I'm debating on AirBnB or hotel options. From Vacaville, Dixon, up to Sacramento. Ideas/suggestions, anyone?
@Sideon prices between the Bay Area and here are usually pretty ridiculous, and Davis itself is usually expensive.
As a former hotel assistant manager here in town who basically grew up in the industry, I definitely know which hotels to avoid 😂 I'm trying my old hotel to see if I can get us a bit of a discount, but usually without being able to guarantee a certain number of rooms they won't.
The Days Inn in Davis is probably the cheapest in town - I use it for DayUse and it works well enough. Dixon, Woodland, and Vacaville will likely be slightly cheaper. Natomas (Sacramento) is only 15-20 mins away and also has some decent cheaper options. Avoid West Sacramento hotels like the plague - both for traffic and quality/safety issues.
There's a lot of good AirBnBs locally, so if you can find one that fits your budget that is another good option. I wish I had space to host folks!
