  • @1_teddybear - Not much has changed as far as the forums go other than the people.. (some leave, others join)

@Mike403 thanks, I wondered if it was easier to message enthusiasts when you first started. Now you have lots of experience, old friends, and karma. I assume that this makes it easier... does it?

I get messages from folks based on forum posts and I also message people to say hi and introduce myself etc. Not sure what percentage of what works the most but I've had a fairly decent amount of success building organic connections on here. I say don't over think it , don't get upset or mad when things don't go as anticipated, and don't make this into something more important than it is . You are not defined by how many intwewebs strangers you meet.

  • @pmvines - hahaha. true. It's not a popularity contest, but people joined this site to cuddle, and they are depressed when they can't find anyone to cuddle..... Making friends on the forum might help as it did me.

Even if it doesn't lead to cuddling, making friends is always a positive.

  • @1_teddybear - When I first joined, I was messaging enthusiasts. Only three of them responded which all stopped talking to me by the third message. I stick to forums now and may message one directly if I feel like I know them enough. I don't think any enthusiasts in my area frequent the forums.

  • I know for sure 100% my forum posts are not attracting snuggle bunnies like bees to honey. But then again I dont cuddle often, but when I do.... Stay thirsty my friends.

  • If you're touch starved, want to hire a pro, and have a car, pick up a driving gig. I deliver food for Grubhub and make $180 in 6 hours on the weekends.

Do you deliver grubhub to a pro and call it even? :astonished:

  • haha... It's run through an app on my phone that can turn on availability at any time and then I'll start receiving offers. When an offer comes in, it displays on the screen the restaurant, the milage, and how much money I'll make that trip. I can choose to either accept or decline the offer. I love the flexibility of it when I need extra money. I have a regular job during the week which pays the bills.

“Hey babe” seems to work well as an opening message for me

  • The forums only help those that come to the forums to get help. Obviously some on the forums only feign seeking help by starting threads seeking pity for expected replies that never materialized or camaraderie with other financially strapped or angry cuddlers who hate those that monetize their cuddle time. These people are entitled and/or narcissistic. The forums will never help most of them.

The forums are just a featured vehicle of communication on the website and are not really a hack to getting a cuddle unless the member wants help. Unfortunately I think a good portion of the forum does not use it as a source of help or as a tool, but instead use the forums for various other reasons. So while it could improve the odds for a member to obtain cuddles, the forums are only as helpful as the person using the forums.

  • @BoomerSpooner - It's a tool. You have to know how to use it properly. This thread was created in response to those throwing a pity party for not getting responses to their messages. Sounding desperate isn't that effective at attracting a cuddle partner.

  • I appreciate the work going into creating the site but compared to most other sites, these forums are a pain to use and navigate. Most people are lurkers anyways so participation will always be low.

There is no magic formula; just the human condition. The skills needed to allow an enthusiast to be interested in cuddling with someone are the same ones needed for social interaction.

the forums are very hit and miss but I can see your point. I do feel like I am actually part of a family or a community as opposed to being some random dude looking for cuddles. Problem is, like all families and communities, we don't always get along so nicely. =)

  • I’m an enthusiast. I have a cuddle coming up and I believe I met him due to forum posts. He travels, so I may not of met him if we didn’t connect on the forum. Trying all avenues won’t hurt.
