As a Black domestic worker in 1850s California, Mary Ellen Pleasant eavesdropped on her wealthy clients so that she could learn how to invest her money wisely. She later used this knowledge to build a real estate empire — which was worth over $30 million.
Pleasant put her investment profits to good use by purchasing businesses like laundries and boarding houses before building a real-estate portfolio. Before long, she owned shares in other businesses like restaurants, dairies, and a bank. It's believed that her white male business partner helped her acquire numerous investments under his name so that she wouldn't have to encounter as many issues as other aspiring Black businesswomen of the era. Pleasant soon became one of the wealthiest women in America, and she always tried to use her money for good, first by supporting antislavery causes and then later by fighting against racial discrimination. When it came to standing up for what she believed in, she once famously said, "I'd rather be a corpse than a coward."
The little girl in this photograph is Ruby Crane.....from the age of 3 years old Ruby walked blinded soldiers around a rehabilitation centre called St Dunstans at Brighton in Sussex, where Rubys Father was the head gardener....she knew they were blinded and just returned from the first World War.....wandering in the grounds she would take ahold their hand and ask them where they wanted to go ( individual workshops ) and guide them there.
people were so affected by little Ruby walking the blind soldiers around they would send her dolls and toys as a thank you for all the support she was giving to the men and women affected by sight loss.....little Ruby was rewarded with a long life as she passed away in her late nineties, in 2011.
Ruby recalled..... " I always remember how my little hand seemed so small in their big hands....they were so pleased to have a child come and talk to them....it was something different away from the monotonous grind of not being able to see things, I think. " Ruby was so popular that she featured on the front page of the St Dunstans first Annual Report for 1915/1916 and later Flag Day emblems incorporated a similar design that featured Little Ruby.

Nikola Tesla and His Cleanliness
It is known that Nikola Tesla suffered from an obsessive compulsive disorder, and because of this, he was an extreme germaphobe. While living in New York, Tesla kept his laboratories absolutely clean and pure, refused to touch other people, would wear gloves while shaking hands, and insisting upon personally cleaning his own plates and silverware at restaurants with his requested 18 napkins. Tesla himself reported that this was intentional. As a child he almost died from Cholera, which raged in the region of his hometown Lika due to contaminated water. He was cured by a special remedy made by an old woman, and also because his father gave him his word that if he recovered, he could study technology instead of entering the clergy, as was intended. Many found Tesla's actions strange, but to him it was a very important measure to protect his health.

It's that time of year! If you haven't done so already, this week you should go out to your apple trees and thin the apples. I will use this quotation from Stark Bros:
"When you thin your apples, break up any fruit clusters so that one choice fruit remains. It's usually wise to leave the fruit from the “king bloom”, or the middle bloom in the cluster of flowers, since it is the best candidate for developing into a large, healthy apple. Leave about 6-8 inches between remaining fruit."
What is the "King bloom"? Take a look at the picture below... the King bloom is apple #1 and is usually in the middle and will have a thicker stem. Thinning is really important if your trees don't self thin very well. You will get noticeably larger fruit by thinning.

She was one of the highest-profile European actresses of the 1950s and 1960s, a period in which she was an international sex symbol. She was among the last surviving high-profile international actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema.
As her film career slowed, Lollobrigida established a second career as a photojournalist. In the 1970s she achieved a scoop by gaining access to Fidel Castro for an exclusive interview.
Lollobrigida continued as an active supporter of Italian and Italian-American causes, particularly the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF). In 2008 she received the NIAF Lifetime Achievement Award at the Foundation's Anniversary Gala. In 2013, she sold her jewellery collection and donated the nearly US$5 million from the sale to benefit stem-cell therapy research. She won the Henrietta Award at the 18th Golden Globe Awards. According to Italian newspapers, Gina Lollobrigida’s estimated net worth at her death was $215 million.
Youth - Born in Subiaco in Lazio (about 40 miles from Rome), Lollobrigida was the daughter of a furniture maker and his wife. Her three sisters were Giuliana, Maria, and Fernanda Lollobrigida. After the end of World War II in 1945, the family moved to Rome, where Lollobrigida took singing lessons, did some modelling, and participated in several beauty contests, placing third in the 1947 Miss Italy contest. In 1946, she began appearing in Italian films in minor roles.
In 1945 at age 18, Lollobrigida played a part in the comedy Santarellina by Eduardo Scarpetta at the Teatro della Concordia of Monte Castello di Vibio, the smallest theatre all'italiana in the world.
Personal life - In 1949 Lollobrigida married a Slovenian physician, Milko Škofič. Their only child, Andrea Milko (Milko Škofič, Jr.), was born on 28 July 1957. Škofič gave up the practice of medicine to become her manager. In 1960, Lollobrigida moved from her native Italy to Toronto, with Škofič and their son. The couple meant to solve the legal situation of their son who was considered stateless by the Italian bureaucracy. The couple divorced in 1971.
In October 2006, at age 79, she announced to Spain's ¡Hola! magazine her engagement to a 45-year-old Spanish businessman, Javier Rigau y Rafols.
They had met at a party in Monte Carlo in 1984 and had since become companions. The engagement was called off on 6 December 2006, reportedly because of the strain of intense media interest.
In 2006 Lollobrigida and Rigau signed a prenuptial agreement and married in Spain.
In January 2013, she started legal action against Rigau, claiming that her ex-boyfriend had staged a secret ceremony in which he "married" an imposter pretending to be her at a registry office in Barcelona. She said he intended to lay claim to her estate after her death. Lollobrigida accused Rigau of fraud, saying that he had earlier obtained the legal right to act on her behalf with a power of attorney, and carried out the plot to get extra power. "A while ago he convinced me to give him my power of attorney. He needed it for some legal affairs. But instead, I fear that he took advantage of the fact that I don't understand Spanish ... Who knows what he had me sign." In March 2017, she lost her court action, but subsequently said that she would appeal.
Lollobrigida had a habit of referring to herself in the third person.
Lollobrigida retired from filming in 1997. She told PARADE in April 2000: "I studied painting and sculpting at school and became an actress by mistake ... I've had many lovers and still have romances. I am very spoiled. All my life, I've had too many admirers." After retirement she divided her time between her house on Via Appia Antica in Rome and a villa in Monte Carlo. After 2009, she refused visitors to her home.
In 2013, Lollobrigida sold her jewelry collection through Sotheby's. She donated nearly $5 million to benefit stem-cell therapy.
In 2019, the Roman Rota, with the consent of Pope Francis, issued a declaration of nullity for her marriage with Rigau after a two-year review.
At the end of the 2010s, Andrea Piazzolla became Lollobrigida's main collaborator, general director and trustee of some Monegasque real estate and financial societies. In July 2020 he was charged for circumvention of an incapable person.
In 2021, the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation, at the request of her son, ruled that Lollobrigida should have a legal guardian appointed to manage her affairs and prevent predation. Although the court determined she was mentally capable, medical evidence had indicated that there was "a weakening in her correct perception of reality" and that she was in a state of "vulnerability".
Lollobrigida died at a clinic in Rome at the age of 95. She is buried in her birthplace, Subiaco, Lazio.

DO YOU WAKE UP IN THE EARLY MORNING?
For a few weeks, ALL of us who work with the Light and the people who are focused on their spiritual evolution have been having a hard time sleeping, we have not been able to rest properly.
Sometimes we wake up between 2 and 4 in the morning, in this short period of the night the Cosmos opens and many are awakened so that they can meditate, connect with the Divine energies or with their Guide of Light.
We are also experiencing that time passes faster and this is because the sun is more active than ever.
Other symptoms is to feel an intense energy, this is because you are adjusting your matter and all your energy fields to a higher vibration.
If you feel disoriented, it is because you are gradually abandoning living in the third physical and earthly dimension, to enter the 4th.D. What is of Love, Perception and Intuition.
Unusual aches and pains in different parts of the body are due to purifying yourself and releasing 3rdD energy.
The loss of short-term memory is due to the fact that we are in more than one dimension at the same time; going back and forth is part of the transition.
Being in the Now is the New World system and the only real space-time.
A sudden disappearance of friends, relationships, activities, habits, this happens because you are evolving beyond what you used to; since the Soul needs other energies and environments to continue its expansion. The change will be better and more positive.
On days of extreme fatigue, it happens because your body is losing density and undergoing intense restructuring. Therefore, sometimes sleeping and eating become important tasks to raise the vibration.
Trust that your body knows what it is doing.
