Questions

I enjoy observing human behavior, because I'm human, and it helps me to understand myself better.

Reading this forum, I've noticed that there seem to be a few distinct categories of questions that people post.

One kind is a casual request for what might be termed trivial information. It may be motivated by curiosity, or by a desire to connect and spark conversation. Example: "What music are you listening to?"

Another kind is an authentic request to be educated. The person posting this kind of question is likely to perform some kind of action based on the answer they receive. Example: "How can I improve my chances of finding someone to cuddle?"

A third kind that comes readily to my mind isn't a true question, but rather a statement with a question mark at the end. It often expresses displeasure with other people's actions. Example: "Why does/doesn't group/individual A do action B."

There may be other categories, but of the ones I've listed, the first two are the ones that I've observed to be asked by people who are finding success or will find success here.

I wake up in the morning and floss, brush twice and then gargle with mouthwash. Immediately thereafter I drop dead. Does your breath still smell minty for awhile? What does your breath smell like when you die?

Asking for a zombie friend I am interested in cuddling.

  • @JoyfulHeart - I definitely think you are onto something. I don’t know if it is cause or effect or simply correlation but people who start “grievance threads” (for lack of a better term) definitely seem to struggle in finding success here.

@CuddleDuncan has responded to several such threads suggesting the OPs check out a couple of helpful threads about finding success here but I suspect his helpful advice is frequently disregarded.

  • @BoomerSpooner frequent death may have long-term consequences that are less than sanguine. You might want to get that looked at.

  • @JohnR1972 Thanks, some people don't believe I'm onto something, thinking instead that I'm merely on something.

  • Where would boners and poops lie ?

  • @pmvines In the same place sleeping dogs and dead beaten horses do, I would hope.

  • I don't think either deserve the amount of attention they get here to be totally honest.

  • Nobody really pays attention to my poops but me though

  • I had to fix an overflowing toilet. I give it so much and this is how it repays me.

  • The fourth kind that comes to mind for me is the, Wanna play?/community builder types. Not really a question per se, but those who answer 'yes' by participating are giving us a glimpse into who they are and, for the most part, are also people who've experienced successes through here.

  • Nobody really pays attention to my poops but me though

@pmvines Ahh, but does your poops pay attention to You?

Uh huh, see now that's a conversation that you and your poops need to being having right now...🤓

  • @JoyfulHeart I apologize too, for also being off topic.😇

    @pmvines BAD! BAD! BAD! 😉

  • Thank you for your contribution, @quixotic_life
