Nope, since search settings can be adjusted and we can see approximately how long ago they were on here.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

No. All it takes is a minimum amount of effort to limit your search to people who have been on recently.

Wow, okay. So this is one for the ages. Because someone takes a break they get their accounts deleted? Why because people can't find the sort button? That shows a little too much where we are at right now as a whole.
Also, I took a four month break two months ago. I hate to be like this but I've had hundreds of cuddles through this site... both paid and free. So... if my account was deleted and I had to start building rep again and dealing with the creeper boundary pushers that hit up new cuddlers to see if they could get away with things I wouldn't. I cuddle here and I travel to a few of my favorite cities regularly to see people who need cuddles and in a lot of cases I see as friends. To me this question absolutely ridiculous but that is my own personal opinion. I don't believe that it reflects on the OP... BUT...

This ones not usually one that comes up unless the person is a bridge dweller. Not saying the OP is. Just interested to see what's going on here.

This topic is a waste of time. If you spent just one minute looking at the filter options you would have solved your own problem.

Also, if you are messaging female enthusiasts, odds are you won't hear back anyway. They get buried in messages.

How is it affecting your life if someone decides to take a break from the site? I recently upgraded from enthusiast to pro cuddler . However, I haven’t finished writing my new profile. Maybe I’ll do it today, maybe I’ll do it in a week or two. I have other things going on in my life. I want to write a nice profile when I have a moment. I’m sure in the meantime people can contact other pros who are ready to take appointments right now. I wouldn’t think it is fair if my profile were deleted just because I’m inactive at the moment. Just curious why it is bothering you so much if someone is inactive for a while. It’s not the end of the world 😃❤️hang in there and have a wonderful day 🌞

  • Lots of people take a break for a few months and then come back again.

  • I wasted my time clicking on this thread.

  • Should threads like this be allowed?

I don't think people who decide to take a break should be penalized by having their accounts deleted. I don't think they are "wasting people's time" because people who view their profiles can see that they haven't been online in X amount of time... We also don't know what someone may be going through (death in the family, miscarriage, birth/adoption of a child, recovery from surgery/injury/illness, dealing with chronic illness(es), caring for a loved one who is ill, etc).

  • The person who started this topic is a brand new member. Maybe they don't know about the filter options. I'm not great with technology and it took me a little bit to figure everything out. I'm surprised how rude people have been for someone asking a question that is not offensive at all.

Hi Crispacket. When you are searching cuddlers there is a way to not see anyone that hasn't been on the site for a long time. Click on Cuddlers. Then on the left side click on the little picture of the magnifying glass. Then where it says "last online" you can select whatever you want. I do wish there was one more option, maybe "less than six months ago". There is a big difference between a month and a year. But it works pretty well as it is right now.

  • @ManOutdoors - When searching cuddlers, it literally takes less than a minute to figure out how to use filters. It took him longer to create this thread.

  • I've seen trolls create accounts to ask questions like that just to stir up shit. I'm not accusing the OP of being one, it's just my observation

Sometimes life just happens. I know I've been dealing with some personal things, and can't maintain being active on here every week, or even month sometimes. Right now, I'm looking for work and am waiting till money is actively coming in to book someone. I'll check in here and there a little bit to see if I have messages, or to engage in or read through forum posts. But that's just when I can. No one knows what is going on in someone's life, so it wouldn't be fair in any way to have an account deleted after a certain amount of time for that reason. One thing I love about this site is that it does tell when the person last logged in. If that's one of your considerations in looking at profiles, it's there for you.

Removing extremely inappropriate comment. Banning member, I’m not even going to entertain horrible comments like this. [Charlie_Bear]

There's a disconnect between this and what the mod asked me privately so I'm taking this comment down even though I'm a rabid squirrel right now. SO pissed. Like dude.

EDIT: ‘This comment is about the perverse nature of the removed comment above directed specifically at me. To clear things up.

    @stormydaycuddle
This was the rare case of me seeing something before it was flagged. I don’t typically flag comments myself, but what I read seemed so inappropriate I decided not to wait for it to be flagged.

  • Yeah, I'm only getting pieces of this and I didn't even see enough to report. Sorry, I went off. I assumed the comment was public. I apologize.

  • I didnt see what was said before it was removed, but with the amount of misbehavior I see, I don't blame women for leaving the site. JFC. This is a platonic cuddle site. If you're looking for something else, go elsewhere.

The first comment was transphobic and the second was trying to solicit photos from another member here, which is just so inappropriate I feel sick.

(I am actually sick, unrelated to this, and threw up after reading it. Not related but wonderful timing…)

  • @ManOutdoors kudos to you for the kind and helpful reply. Everyone else may either need one more or one less cup of coffee.

    Welcome to CC, @Crispacket

  • @Bella_Sera @Lucas_ - The response would probably not be as negative if he just asked the question rather that saying that those accounts should be deleted.

  • @Charlie_Bear - I'm still hung over from last night. I was at an all-inclusive hamburger and booze festival.

  • Most people on these forums have been around a while and are seasoned posters. For these folks, many topics and questions are old hat.

But there is a constant, steady stream of new folks who arrive daily and are completely unfamiliar with this site. They don't have the familiarity with the site to familiarize themselves with every issue that's ever been brought up, and to seek out that answer before posting in the forums.

I believe it is the responsibility of seasoned posters to practice patience.

  • Mike, your first post said you wasted time clicking on this thread. Then you have posted another five times after that. It's an online forum, we are probably all wasting our time.

  • Tx @ManOutdoors @Bella_Sera and @TxTom for the reminders.
@Crispacket , my apologies for being so short and not more thorough with my explanation.

I think people are missing that a new member says that members that go on hiatus should have their profiles deleted for wasting people’s time. That’s going to be taken negatively and I don’t think is something new members should be advocating for. You can defend it if you want but there are so many reasons why people need to take a break - some due to being victims of sexual assault - and I don’t think it’s appropriate that they are being called time wasters for needing to do so.

If anything, at least push for their accounts being put into an inactive state or something…not straight up purging accounts.
