@TheFunCartel my step-grandparents watched Lawrence Welk religiously. They were Polish, so no brainer. I couldn't stand it back then, but now I have fond memories of my daughter growing up and every Saturday, we'd dance on the hardwood floor to Lawrence Welk. I'd many times spin her in the direction of the soft couch of course. LoL! But we had a blast.

    I also loved MASH

  • Fawlty Towers

I’m genuinely so annoyed that no one said Full House. Some of the episodes have really good lessons and I’m pretty sure it was the most popular sitcom at the time so kinda cringe that no one has said it yet smh…

  • I love My Two Dads

  • Seinfeld, Frasier, Family Matters and Fresh Prince of Belair and Golden girls have my heart

  • @literallysillyy

    Did you watch Fuller House?

  • I’m genuinely so pissed that no one said Full House. Some of the episodes have really good lessons

Most people do not go to sitcoms for lessons

I’m pretty sure it was the most popular sitcom at the time

While popular, it wasn’t even close. That was the time of Cheers, the Cosby Show and other Nielsen ratings champions.

  • Does fraiser count? What about Roseanne and home improvement. For me they are classic cause I grew up watching them.

Are You Being Served, my favorite.

Others I don’t remember seeing here- Benson, Home Improvement, Mr. Belvidere, Taxi, Barney Miller.

  • Anyone remember Becker?
All in the family was really good, and 3s company. I watched reruns with my mom lol

  • My favorites:

    Happy days
    Brady bunch
    Chips
    The Partridge family
    The Walton’s

    And I agree with
    @FriendlyFemale
    Facts of life and
    Different strokes

  • I am a fan of the Hackett brothers from Wings. That is my all time favorite sitcom. Is anyone is in the Raleigh Durham area? I am available for cuddles and binging Wings.

  • Not really sitcoms but my favorite shows as a kid were ATeam and Macguyver.

Closely followed by Star Trek original series.

  • Have to throw Red Dwarf in. My favourite british sitcom ever.

  • Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I don't like anything below the prestige level.

  • @OberonWake
You may appreciate this. I was bit in the face by Tim Daly from Wings' dog. About 25 yrs ago when I lived in Vermont, I worked for a kennel that did boarding and daycare. He and his girlfriend had a house in Wallingford and would board their 3 dogs while on acting gigs etc. one of his dogs had severe food aggression, and I made the mistake of touching it after putting down food bowl. My fault but still have a small scar on bottom lip and under eye.
