  • Please stop. I have a response sooo good but Mike says we can't go there so... lol.

You’re better than that. Don’t take the bait.

  • @BoomerSpooner 😭😭😭 and I thought you knew me!! 😭😭😭 lol, still barely holding back. 😂😂😂

  • Yankee candles - I love the smell (of a few of them) but they do cause my air purifier to kick into overdrive because they trigger the Volatile Organic Compound sensor. Therefore, I really limit my exposure to them.

  • @JohnR1972
I really like the visual ambiance candles create, but they can be a bit pricey while not giving off as much scent as I would like.

I think I'll give those Mythology Candles that @stormydaycuddle recommended a try. I wonder if they would trigger the VOC sensor you mentioned. (Not that it matters to me, but some guests might apprciate it. And I always aim to please.)

  • @TxTom - I recently had a great cuddle where my host had several small battery powered candles. The way they flickered and lit the room, I would have thought they were real candles. They created the perfect amount of warm light without any open flames or fumes.

@TxTom mythology candles have a scent!

@JohnR1972 where is your sense of adventure?

  • @stormydaycuddle but what about the moss, the ferns, the gigantic trees of the PNW, the pristine lakes known worldwide & the notable winters that rival Colorado’s? I say let the conversion to rain forest begin.

  • @stormydaycuddle - My cat would knock over a real candle and burn the place down.

There is something quite soothing about spooning while both watch a crackling fire in the fireplace... the smell of the wood fire and the flickering light... nice.

  • @1_teddybear oh that sounds so nice!

  • @JohnR1972 have you tried 100% beeswax candles? I love those and they are beneficial to health, not harmful. I like the company Beehive Candles. :)

  • @JohnR1972 I am very interested in finding out about the natural shampoos, conditioners etc. I’m wanting to replace whst I’m currently using with more natural products. I went to 3 grocery stores this week looking for more natural laundry detergent and couldn’t find any. It’s like a treasure hunt.

That's why dogs rule and cats drool.

No. Dogs drool...literally. I haven't met one that hasn't slobbered on me.

  • @Mike403
    Drooling is better than arson.

  • "Drooling is better than arson."

Omg!! I want that on a shirt with a pic done in sort of an unstable unicorns aesthetic where an a-hole cat is swiping a candle towards the drapes, and a derpy drooling dog is watching it all go down. Then the CC logo/site can be in the corner or something. And maybe above the cat is a thought bubble with something about getting 'scent consent'...
