Last active

I feel the site need either to remind people who are not active for the last couple months or delete their account or do something a lot of pro cuddlers are not active for the at least 6 months

  • This has been addressed before, and it's unnecessary. Users can adjust their search criteria to filter out inactive profiles.

Nah, delete em if they haven't logged in 6 months, or put them on deactivation mode automatically. Makes it look like there are more cuddlers here than reality.

I could be wrong, but I think that there are 17 female enthusiast cuddlers on the site…

But probably less than that, in practice.

@toddmk @Midnight01 what you guys are suggesting is acceptable and is done in chat rooms. If you don't contribute you get kicked out.
Its not how it works on this platform and other similar ones
pro cuddlers are users of the service just like you and they can choose not to actively use the service for as long as they want. Would you want to be removed from here if you havent booked a session within the last 6 months? As mentioned above , non active can easily be filtered out.

It's easy enough to set a search filter for when people were last online. Takes two seconds.

  • @CharlesInWI ~ 17?!!! 😂
    That's both hysterical and sad.

  • I mean the filter is easy to use. I wouldn't exactly complain about having to use it or anything. It might not be the worst thing to send an inquiry to inactive accounts though. This is what happens who you don't sell on Ebay after a certain period of time. You don't need to participate but at least you need to validate you want to keep the account. There is no use in keeping accounts around that will never be coming back.

  • I know it’s frustrating to see more “options” than actually exist :(

  • @Sooson Yes, I know how to use filters, everyone knows how to use filters. That’s not the point. Did you not read the original post? Why would you be kicked out if you didnt book a session in 6 months? YOU are actively signing on and using the site in that 6 months. Users of the site who don’t sign on or do Anything in 6 months should be kicked out or deactivated. Half a year and you don’t sign on a website where you have to actually be present to do what the site offers is ridiculous. This isn’t a legacy site like Facebook. It only functions if people are active and making cuddles.

  • @Midnight01 - An email is still sent to their registered E-Mail account if you send them a message. They can choose to log back onto the site to read it.

  • @Mike403 What does that have to do with anything? Most of the emails people use are probably throw away emails and not the primary ones anyways.

  • It's kind of a legacy site in that the threads go back to the beginning of the site's creation.

There are people who may have commented way, way back, who haven't had cause to log on in well over a year. But you can still view their profile, message them, and then bam! they log on and message you back (sometimes)...

Plus, this site isn't only for tactile/in-person cuddles ~ for many it's for making or maintaining friendships too (having virtual, but just as meaningful, heart to heart cuddles).

  • @Midnight01 - It has everything to do with it. There is absolutely no reason to delete somebody's account(and make them lose their history/karma) just for being inactive.

  • If there's an easy solution such as sorting by last login to make quicker judgements on who is active and who is taking a break whether permanent or temporary I see no reason to delete people's profiles.
Many pros leave for months or a year and come back, frequently. People get burnt out and need to take a break , so let them. It's not up to us to remove them because you don't like them being here taking up virtual space. It's silly AF.

  • @Mike403 Of course they get an email notification. How else would they know they got a message? You can’t share phone numbers or anything else. I fail to see what that has anything to do with anything in this discussion. If 6 months is too short, make it a year then.
@quixotic_life The point of the site is for cuddling. Everything else is just ancillary. If you feel you need to message someone from an old thread from 6 months ago to build a virtual friendship, then that’s on you. I’m sure that doesn’t pay the bills here however. My point is, as an active male who pays for cuddles, it’s misleading to see profiles who I’m interested here to see they haven’t logged in 6 months.

  • Let’s not do this again so soon, please.
