KARMA (not that kind )

So this morning I went out to breakfast. There was a table i was eyeballing , and they said it wasn't able to be sat in due to not having enough servers . Me being hungry and grumpy and feeling slightly entitled got pissy with the poor host, who was simply doing her job. But I took it personally and felt the need to piss and moan. Anyways I finish my meal , go to pee, and was digging in my pocket for my credit card when low and behold my card falls into the very urinal I'm peeing in ! Anyways after wrapping my hands mummy style in paper towels I retrieved it and gave a vigorous cleaning with soap and hand sanitizer. After paying I apologized to the host for being grumpy with her , and that she didn't deserve the response I gave her .

Moral of the story is be a good human, because Karma will piss on you when you least expect it !

  • Seems a lesson was learned. But that's very big of you to apologize. Good on ya mate!

  • The fact that you’re aware and apologized is positive. The karma part is a little sucky. 🤗🤗🤗

  • No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, at least you caught yourself after you made yours and worked on correcting the error of your way(s). That’s all we as humans can reasonably do, is when we learn better to do better ☺️
thanks for sharing your story !

    ~ Happy Cuddling Everyone 🤗 ~

  • So sorry to hear about your Bad Bathroom Karma experience. Good ? Karma will be coming soon!

  • At least it wasn’t embedded in a log of your legendary poops. That would be some expensive shit for sure.

  • Karma may a b*tch, but she tends to have a really big soft spot for people who are more self-aware, or who are at least working on those self-awareness skills. I think you'll be ok, my friend 🤗

And behalf of fellow service workers everywhere, I'm pretty sure you probably made her day by going back and apologizing. We get so used to bearing the brunt of everyone's bad days simply because we're there that those relatively rare shows of humility and kindness are worth their weight in gold. When I still worked in hospitality I would bend over backwards to accommodate folks like that because I knew how much it took for them to come back and apologize and I appreciated it so much.

Plus....it was fun to watch the extra grumpy folks squirm and steam in jealousy 😈 rewarding good behavior sometimes encouraged more of them to turn their days around too, which helped everyone be happier!

I hope your day has gotten better, @pmvines 💖🌻

  • Yeah, I'm the first person to admit that I can be a prickly douche sometimes. I try to mitigate the effects as much as I can. I feel like we are all born assholes . That's why the id is what you first develop. Only later do we develop the ego and super ego . Things like empathy, self awareness, and selflessness are learned traits. Its really fun to be a hedonistic selfish prick. As much as we love our id, it is a battle to not make it our central personality trait. Karma is in essence a trustworthy safety guard against us letting ourselves go feral . Consequences.

At my former place of employment, I was bullied and overworked relentlessly to the point I needed to go on medical leave. I asked for support and help so many times in so many ways, but all that happened was I ended up getting written up for making my colleagues feel "uncomfortable". When my medical leave was up, and I had to return to work, I was stripped of all my duties and responsibilities and had my position eliminated. A few months later, I heard the individual that was bullying me was "let go" from the company. If my speaking up and advocating for myself (even though it resulted in having my position eliminated) was in ANY small part of the reason they were let go...I'd just like to thank the Karma Police.
