My primary care doc and my psychologist have both been on board and encouraged me micro dosing shrooms rather than taking something like Xanax or antidepressants or anti anxiety meds that would just make me like a zombie. I’m finding that after a solid 4 months (I took a couple Months off when I moved to LA cause I couldn’t Find them) I can now go longer and longer in between micro sessions
The best side effect and I’ve started researching and found that it’s being researched for this is … it tel it bed me from my chronic pain … but when it wears off the pain can but me like a ton of bricks
I have a heavy supply of mushrooms, but I've still never tripped, only microdosed. I actually haven't in several months now because I've been fine without it thanks to the overall long-term benefits, my mushroom coffee (Everyday Dose), and spirituality. Mushrooms are magic. Period. 🍄💕 🥰
These comments make me wanna try it even more
I'm in Oregon, so we have access to legal mushrooms. Definitely enjoy a microdose from time to time, but I'm not a habitual user.
The only problem with ketamine is that it’s relatively expensive in the clinical setting and not covered by most insurance companies.
I've been wanting to try micro dosing for a while now. I'm just afraid it's going to trigger anxiety or that I'll accidentally take too much and hallucinate.
@RebeccaKe im always willing to help with any questions you might have
I like macro dosing better
I don't micro-dose, but I take a full trip about once a month. It's very introspective and has allowed me to do inner work I couldn't have otherwise done..... Even on the "bad" trips I come out better for them.
Nope, not interested in consuming any types of buzz drugs beyond an occasional social, not medicinal, margarita. My drugs of choice are Aleeve and Diet Coke. Safe to drive after consuming.
I am trying to gauge my disappointment with the above comment appropriately.
But the OP writes about healing from trauma. She describes a course of treatment that changed her life for the better. And she asks to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience.
For a person who (evidently) doesn’t need a life-altering course of treatment to be so dismissive of the potential value of these drugs to other humans, strikes me as lacking in kindness and self-awareness.
If you’re healthy enough to be thriving with minimal interventions, and/or those most likely to be accepted by the mainstream, I am glad for you. But can you try to convey that with (a microdose) more sensitivity?
Thanks for listening.
I 2nd what @MonkeyNeedsAHug said … he put into words what I’ve been over here trying to say nicely
❤️✨️🍄Healing🍄✨️🤍
Its legal to send spores in the mail but not the fruit for those bold enough to attempt growing your own(most states still prohibit psychedelics.).Microdosing seems to help but for those with really heavy trauma it helps to have a qualified therapist whether one takes the shrooms or not.I'm waiting for the new comprehensive study which is still in progress at Johns Hopkins.

Totally resonate with these fears! The solution I found was taking my microdose before I went to sleep 😴, and eventually I felt comfortable and curious enough to take it while I was up, and then to try macrodosing, and then to seek out other plant medicines! It’s been quite the rabbit hole! Totally recommend it. It changed my life. 🦋🌿🍄✨🌵🐈⬛
They're banned in the USA because of their transcendental healing and revealing properties. We can't have mindless complacent workers conforming to a fabricated system built for the exorbitantly rich and powerful off our backs if we're thinking beyond a hierarchical tree of authority through income classes. People thinking communally as well as individually is too much, we must be locked into thinking and acting and breathing for the fear-based tyrannical oligarchs and their elected puppets.
Also, psychedelics are one of the sleekest swords against chemical and emotional addiction. But evaporating that would interfere with our corrupt health care system where we pay multiple times for the same thing through tax subsidization, insurance, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs for branded price-gouged prescriptions and treatments our doctors are propagandized to sell through strictly patented pharmaceuticals and medical device makers.
Should we be allowed a transcendental experience? Of course.
Some research has shown that psilocybin BOTH shakes up old thought patterns AND grows new dendritic spines on brain neurons...so not only are you getting new ways of seeing old things, but you're also getting new hardware in order to think in new directions!!!
Microdosing, even though you don't get the whole psychedelic experience, STILL HAS THIS SAME EFFECT....which I think is kind of awesome! I could use some new dendrites to overcome the trauma responses of the past!!!! Epigenetics, anyone?
I too think that psilocybin would be incredibly healing, but unfortunately, it's impossible to obtain (kind of like cuddles). Even if I could gain access to some, to then find a safe space to properly process the experience, and have someone there to assist seems even more impossible. To paraphrase Lewis Carroll - one must continue to think impossible things. If you are lucky enough to have those three things, I love that for you!
