What's something you'd like to try doing but haven't worked up the nerve to yet?

  • Okay, wow. I can 100% see why the mods censored that and I think that referencing a post that was moderated even in a critique is bringing it up again. Art... google it. Tell me what's the 1st thing that comes up? That's why it was moderated. This is kinda mean and dismissive of all the work the mods do to protect us from non-platonic behavior. I thought a certain someone would appreciate that by now. This is apathetic BS. And those of us who have to deal with advances everyday through this site don't appreciate the nuance between art and kink as much as you connoisseurs seem to. Forgive me for over reacting but that was down right disrespectful to your fellow cuddlers and the mods alike.

@stormydaycuddle - That wasn't over reacting. You said it as it is.

  • @cuddlefaery - Well said! And those are super cool interests! 🥰

  • @Charlie_Bear - Please do not take my comment as a lack of appreciation for you trying to protect cuddlers. It's just in my nature to educate on things I'm passionate about, and I wanted to destigmatize it. And like it was said above... We're going to get asked for sexual acts no matter what, unfortunately. But your effort is still seen for what it is - noble. Please accept my apology if it seemed I did not understand your good intentions.

  • @PixiePassions - He deactivated his account. It's very stressful being a mod and feeling like his actions are met with criticism.

  • @Mike403 - Ayyeeee. I wish he had seen my follow up comment. 😓

I would like to learn Spanish.

I knew some but I picked it up from various people I worked with many years ago from different countries.

Kind of like mixing a southern drawl with a brooklyn accent

I could make myself understood well enough for what I needed. But I was told it was not comfortable to their ears.

@PixiePassions it's more likely that it is my comment that is what pushed it over the line and that others are referring to. But aye, I hope when @Charlie_Bear returns he knows he and what he does is very much appreciated. I've been a mod with similar accounts and situations to deal with, I've had to muck through it. I know the burnout is real. It can be all too easy to feel like there is no winning and like all mods receive is criticism for doing what feels like the right thing.

I'd send Charlie a DM, but will have to wait til he is back 😔 Critiquing an individual mod action and topic that is often misunderstood was not intended as a personal critique of him overall as a mod. He has done a fabulous job overall.

  • @cuddlefaery - Well said yet again. 💜

@KYtransplant - Duolingo has been great for helping me learn Spanish. I can hold small conversations with Spanish speaking people. I'll send you the link via DM if you would like. 😊

@PixiePassions yes please! send it though messenger here if you can

  • Hey all, sorry about that. Thank you for the kind words. I need to learn to step back before the anxiety hits instead of during 🫠

  • Thank you for returning, @Charlie_Bear !

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

Given the value that Charlie brings to this site, I would think that there would be pros that would be happy to offer him some pro-bono cuddles. But failing that, is there a way that we can chip in to sponsor some charlie_bear cuddles?

  • @Charlie_Bear - Don't worry about trying to please everyone. Your goal is to keep the forums civil and constructive and to remove people with non-platonic intentions.

  • @1_teddybear while the sentiment is nice, accepting such charity could put him into a potentially precarious position. It could be alleged that he "owes" people for their generosity or that he's let things slide because of their generosity. Or as my old boss used to say, "it's a sticky wicket!"

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@AllAboutSoul That's a fair point. But what about the sponsoring idea? If several contributed anonymously to his benefit, where's the harm?

Could we please try to de-stigmatize things heavily associated with sex on a sub Reddit and not CC?
Because yes advances will happen either way but there are people who because of things like this don’t believe your platonic warnings and say yes to all rules then come over and attempt to break them or worse because they think CC is a front. It’s dangerous to let that belief happen or go unchecked.

@1_teddybear mods do need support but usually it’s emotional. With all the things they see, deal with and attempt to prevent. I feel like there should be a mod therapy pension fund type thing in general that pays for the emotional trauma they endure on the back and front end.

But @AllAboutSoul is correct. There’s the flip side too where some mods might seek out that advantage. I don’t think anyone currently on staff would but it’s a possibility for corruption later down the line.

    @1_teddybear
Ha I don’t think we are allowed to receive compensation, and we are definitely not allowed to ask pros to cuddle for free (not that you are suggesting that). I have cuddled pros as an enthusiast instead of as a client, though that’s entirely by their choice.

  • I wish platonic cuddling(especially with pros) can be destigmatized.

  • @Charlie_Bear - I couldn't ask for a discount or free session. I would feel terrible and wouldn't be able to enjoy the session. Just being appreciated that you care about the community and want to help should be enough. Don't worry about the one off comments because somebody disagreed with an action you took. People sometimes say stuff out of frustration.

Also, @PixiePassions your comment wasn’t what I was referring to last night. 🤗🤗🤗

(Remove comment. Accidentally posted in the wrong thread)

  • There are places for that in communities that support the artform -- this is not the community for that. It's not a stigma, it's a fact -- sexual or sensual acts with the intention of kink, is not up for promotion through this platform.

    Cause it's a PLATONIC CUDDLE SITE. 🥸🥸🥸

  • @MissAdventurous - Some people think that this is their personal social media page.

  • edited September 2023

Absolutely, @stormydaycuddle , and neither of us went into great detail or length - it was simply mentioned because of the editing that happened.

Remove content which breaks the forums rules. [netrunner]

  • I wish platonic cuddling(especially with pros) can be destigmatized.

@Mike403 don't we all? 😔 someday soon, hopefully

  • The line is drawn when it comes to those type of activities mentioned in this site and on the forums here. 🤔

    The end.

Save the debate for reddit and stop deliberately rehashing essentially the same statement you already have mentioned after it had clearly been not okay to post and was edited. That easy.

  • @stormydaycuddle , my main fear isn't that it would be abused by the mods, but the accusations (from anyone), which are just as biting and toxic.
