@Jova114 - I have not heard of anyone seriously pushing this in the U.S. but I am starting to see more articles about possibly going to a 4 day work week.
I’ve made a couple of trips to France (Pluvinger, Montpellier, and Paris) and their laws & customs are much more employee / family oriented than the laws and customs in the U.S.
This was back around 2009 - 2011 so I don’t know if it is still true today but back then nearly everything (malls, offices, businesses, grocery stores, etc.) closed by 6:00 pm M-F and by noon on Weekends. The exceptions were gas stations and restaurants.
New employees at businesses also began with 5 weeks of vacation instead of 2 as is the custom in the U.S.
A 4-day work week, plus 40 winks each day? Yes, please.
