I didn't realize that until you pointed out. I put "Don't have any children".

I've tested and noticed that too, it seems to be a glitch. Though you can remove it entirely by selecting -. I don't think it really matters to have it show on your profile, especially if you don't have children.
@Lovelight the bigger issue is for people who filled out their profiles, (reasonably) expecting that the answers they're selecting would be represented accurately on the final result. Unless you make a point to check how your own profile looks afterwards and don't miss that one line, you wouldn't even know.
Of course if you're already aware of the issue, removing the line altogether is an easy fix.
@Lovelight You can set it to blank; however, anytime I see a blank relationship status or a blank "children" field, I always assume the person is married, and has children. I always ask, and I've been right every single time except once, where he said he did not have children. Not sure if others have the same assumption and experience to back it up, as I have, but silence is usually an affirmative.
@idkidkidkidk yeah I can see how that can be an issue, though my suggestion was more a temporary solution till it's solved.
@SunsetSnuggles I see what you mean, I suppose I kinda see it like that with the relationship status. Though I personally don't care about the other and left it out myself, because I find it doesn't really matter to me to have on my profile. So leaving that and a few other things I don't find important to have on my profile makes my profile a bit more concise. Which also gives more attention to the things that matter most to me to let potential cuddlers partners know.
@Lovelight Understandable! I think some stand out a lot when they're blank, because the field remains visible, while others disappear. Inconsistent coding.

Why is this an issue, I’ve been told it’s not a dating website so no biggie. It’s not like someone will see “wants to have children” and not cuddle with you, who would react that way. . . Oh wait! Nevermind.

I HAD children. I chose that option.
Now I have ADULT CHILDREN..... this feels very different. They are not in the house anymore and are living their lives.
But leaving it blank seems like it would send a strange message and yet there are no other viable options. hahhahaha I have OFFSPRING maybe???? I noticed this change as well. @gary @mark is this possibly a system glitch?

This bug is fixed now. It affected those that had either chosen 'Has no children' or 'Would like children'.
To be on the safe side, we have cleared the field for that group of members.

While I've not seen that be a filter for the search, it definitely could be an issue if it was. Some would have "children", others "child", some "chldran", or "2 chlidran", pretty sure some would even have "minions". So I think a fill it yourself approach would be a very bad idea lol.
@Mark, or @Gary I've also noticed a glitch I'm not sure what gives. Though in the forum, I've seen some commenters' profile picture showing and others having the default icon, though when you visit their profile their picture shows. I think this might be a bit of an issue for someone who having a profile picture is important and might pass on the opportunity to make a connection on the forum by visiting someone's profile in some instances.

I am curious about the rationale behind this field in general. Does this affect anyone’s decision about cuddling someone?
@jplemmon Doesn't affect my choice unless they are having their children join then that just makes it weird.
@jplemmon I don't think it really makes a difference, though I think in some cases it might give someone the idea that there might be some accomodating to be made or less availability because of it. Like if someone say has young children who stay with him or her, then it's probably not gonna be a good idea to meet at certain hours or stay overnight once trust has been established. While it doesn't really specifying all that, I think that's roughly the general idea behind it.

I struggled on that question also because I do have children... who live on their own! There's a big difference.
