This is another song from the Police. It came in in 1978 which is technically too old for this thread, but I'm sharing it here anyway since it's such a great song and it's from a band that's mostly known for their '80s hits. It's called Roxanne.
edit: after looking more into it, this song is about a man who falls in love with a prostitute. It's still catchy.
