Airport Cuddles

I travel a lot and it gets lonely at times, even and especially at the airport. I wish there was a way to find fellow travelers who would like some company while waiting for a flight. Maybe even hold hands and do some light public cuddling and/or book a Minute Suite for some private cuddling. Does anyone know of a service that already exists to facilitate airport connections?

    I second that one. Also a fellow constant traveler and despiser of airports. That would be cool to have an app that connects travelers. They used to have a dating and social app for people in Southern California traffic so why not an airport app for cuddles!

    A good friend and I were both going. to the same destination but at different times in the day. I was flying to Las Vegas and had a layover in Denver. She lives in Denver and was also flying to Vegsd but later in the day . So we both met and spent some time together in the airport . Lost track of time and I thought I was late to catch flight out lol. But I made it . Fun times.

    I'm not a huge fan of airports either, and given how awful most transport is here in the UK, I'd instantly help fund this 100%. Would be amazing for our trains too.

    I’m glad I’m not alone! And to Nature Lover’s point, having someone there to talk with, hold hands, provide a shoulder to lean on, etc would go a long way to ease anxiety.

    I certainly agree that spending time at an airport cuddling with a fellow traveler is way more fun. I have had numerous airport cuddles. Before flights/during a layover/meeting as you each are flying off to different parts of the country. A lot of airports are creating spaces that are more conducive to the snuggle which I think is LOVELY!! ♥️

    Connecting enthusiasts or pros and business professionals that travel a lot seems like a fantastic App option!

    I think this idea could be easily incorporated into Cuddle Comfort. People could post their travel plans (airport, date, time, etc) into a searchable channel. Then simply search for where you know you’ll be at a given moment and submit a request to meet up.
    I’m sure it’s more complicated than that but theoretically seems doable!

    Love this idea! I travel all the time too and have done layover cuddles before if I happened to be in the same city with another cuddler 🤗✈️

    A cuddle connection sounds very nice. I think for similar reasons there are already some massage services in airports. After a particularly harrowing flight I wanted to use one, I would have paid a lot for it, but my connecting flight was too soon.

    Last time I flew, I got selected for the grope. Wearing a sheer plunge dress with nothing else underneath. It dawned on me afterwards why the TSA lady was smirking at me when she was done. 🥴 She was all up in my business, too. 🙃 To this day it still makes me titter. 😅

    I could of used this when my flight got canceled in South Carolina and I ended up sleeping on the floor. It would have been epic to be able to reach out and set up a cuddle! It really is a great idea!!!

    You can always post flight plans on the Cuddle Requests board, though I would perhaps be vague in the post, as it is visible to the internet as a whole. If someone replies and will be in that airport the same week, you could take it to PM and talk exact date/time.

    I imagine the odds of randomly crossing paths with other cuddlers during a one or two-hour layover are very slim. I've often been ships passing in the night, a day apart from cuddlers I know, but have yet for the schedules to line up, at random. I have met a few cuddlers at airports before though, as we intentionally flew in at the same time, or they flew to me and I picked them up.

    I don’t travel like I used to, but I can certainly see the benefit of having this feature. Technically, it could start as a separate (non-public) thread group, but the best solution would be an interactive map of airports, which you could click through and it would display a calendar of cuddlers passing through.
    It is doable, but requires time/coding…
    Good ideas.

    I don't know, in theory that sounds nice. Though in practice, cuddling up with a stranger especially in such a context seems rather risky I think. Especially given the amount of men who don't respect boundaries and who either don't really have a concept of cuddling or who take it to mean something else. I'm not saying they're* really gonna do anything in the middle of the airport, though still especially if they get into a more private space. If that woman (or man) is given issues than what can she really do? How can she really follow through with anything?

    Stay around filing a police report and miss her flight? Get caught up in a different jurisdiction legal battle that may even on some levels require her to keep going back there? Also if the man is based elsewhere than where they met that may further complicate things. This is not in anyway legal 'advise', it's just my little understanding of those issues in those circumstances. * ( It's hard enough being a tourist. I heard of a woman who was a tourist and was hurt in the country she was visiting. From what I can remember she was being required to come back to the country to continue with her report. ) *

    Then told by the public that she shouldn't have been cuddling with strangers?

    Now will a man risk all that? Maybe* not really, though also the men who do this type of thing * bad intentioned* or who are straight up really predatory, they might be willing to risk a lot more.

    At the end of the day, people are free to make their own decisions. Though I just don't really see it working that well for both men and women. Also what if some bad intentioned man who she may or may not have spoken with happens to spot her in the crowd and makes a 'move' on her and she feels pressured to cuddle with him.
