No wonder they donβt respond to DMs π
@Runawaycuddles Agreed. Statistically it's basically 99% men for attempted or successful rapes. Even in regards to other men. That's a problem!
@panda619 I think a lot depends on what you wrote in DMs and what you write in your profile. While some people (men and women) treat it as a second tinder, not all pple do that. And if you keep trying you'll find a cuddle partner. I didnt have a single pro or enthusiast respond to me for the first 2-3 months I was on the site. Even having karma on the site helps.
On first glance, I notice that you only have one picture (w sunglasses) on your profile and didn't include your hobbies or reasons for cuddling or boundaries on your profile. I think that would help - including multiple pictures, and pictures that show your full face. About 2-3 women here already said safety is a major concern and I feel since men outnumber women here like 8:1, more men than women probably voted that physical attractiveness is an important factor.
Good luck !
@CharlieBear You're great!
Not at all. I don't even ask for a photo before booking a client. I don't care at all what someone looks like, it's who they are that matters.
A quote from one of my favorite books sums up my feelings perfectly
@Brown_Recluse My main concern is good hygiene and good intentions.
BINGO!^^^ Thank you, mine too!ππ
I had to inform a cuddle partner about his bad breathπ the last time we cuddled, seeing as we HAD another cuddle date scheduled.
It was gonna be a movie theater cuddle date, we were gonna watch a slasher horror movie called Thanksgiving, quite fitting for the holiday season! ππ
He was a great cuddler, respectful, funny and polite til the end. Just his breath was...Ugh!π
I was very polite when I brought it up to him via phone call (not something I wanna "text" aboutπ) and he even "thanked me" for letting him know.π
He canceled a day before said planned cuddle date could happen. And I haven't heard from him since...???π€·ββοΈ
Lol! It is what it is.π
@Katota could be unrelated, who knows. I think it's great to be forward about these things, though!
Looks like for about 75% of people, a person's attractiveness plays a role in whether or not a cuddle is desired. It would be interesting if this poll could be broken down by demographic, but this would be my guess:
Professional (I'd imagine most don't have an attractiveness preference) Male enthusiasts (I'm going to guess this group has the highest attractiveness preference); Female enthusiast (moderate attractiveness preference)
@sunnysideup Lol! His canceling could be unrelated to my mentioning it, you could be right. He gave a valid reason, he said that "he really needed to work". So, I'll just leave it at that for a few more days.π
I did send him a funny Happy Thanksgiving Day video clip, as I sent it to few others as well. He didn't respond back, though others did respond back.π
I decided not to reach back out and to give it a few more days of contact to happen on his end, if I don't hear back from him... Then it's time to move on and accept what is, I wish him well!π
If itβs good cuddle, my eyes are closed and Iβm falling deep into it, donβt need a good looking face/body/third feature for that. All about personalities meshing for me, and I learn most about that when getting to know someone. Some of the best cuddles Iβve had have been with those Iβve taken the time to get to know, and in that, they become someone I want to talk to more or spend more time with them.
I've recently added a second location, so I've had a ton of new cuddlers visiting my profile from the state I'll be visiting. I honestly click through the visitor list and immediately scroll down...my eye may catch the profile picture on the way down, but what I'm looking for are people who express themselves well in their bio section. If it's blank, sparse, or carries on about how fit and single they are, I'm smashing that back button - doesn't matter how cute they may be.

Not really. Safety is my primary goal, objective, concern.. I don't do this to feed my ego, I do it to fill a void- social connection, physical closeness, hugs rubs and squeezes... we All need this and I'm happy to provide a long as there's cleanliness and safety. π€·π»ββοΈ
@Katota Yes. Bad breath is a no no! Someone needs to hear it, and less pple need to smell it!
@sunnysideup Interesting interpretation of the stats. Good to see your profile pic up!
@Minestrone101 @Katota Yes, it's like the guy with spinach stuck in his teeth, or someone with a random large stain on the back of their clothes! No one wants to tell them, but almost everyone is going to judge them for having poor hygiene. So it was nice imo that you brought up the bad breath thing. It's an example of one of those blunt but kind comments
And yeah, my interpretation of the stats is based on the broader forum posts I've read over the time I've been here. I could be wrong though. My interpretation of pros mostly not caring about attractiveness is the fact that almost anyone can successfully message a pro as long as they are respectful and follow their posted rules as well as the TOS of CC. Successfully messaging enthusiasts seems to require a bit extra - extra patience, luck, uniqueness and genuineness in the way you message, and other reasons like extra attractiveness as this poll showed
@sunnysideup Yeah. I was thinking of adding two more polls : one for men and one for women. But I don't think I have the energy to do all that.
@Minestrone101 If I have the energy one day, I might split it into 3 categories: Pros ( I suspect 95% of pros that read the forum don't care about attractiveness, but it would be nice to have data for it), female enthusiasts, and male enthusiasts.
I also think that people who read the forums and especially those who engage in the forums are more less likely to care about attractiveness
Interesting ~ I haven't read all the comments just yet, but I selected "a little bit" because (and don't take this the wrong way friends) if someone is too pretty/undeniably stunning, I don't go near them. Not for social interactions, and for sure not for something as intimate and up close as cuddle time.
I'm near certain it's related to childhood trauma dished by a mess of trendy little rich bitches and asshats in elementary and middle school. But still, even though I can appreciate the absurdity of it as an adult, I just don't trust people who are not only blessed with beauty, but they have the cash flow to look like they're part of an [out of my league] ad campaign. Luckily I don't cross paths with many of those types, so I ranked it low. I'm sure if I lived in LA, or Vegas, or Sweden, etc..., it would be way higher!!
@quixotic_life I have for sure done the thing in real life where I assume that really attractive people don't want to talk to me, I do feel the same apprehension online as well. And it's not because I want to date them, it's because I feel they'll judge me for not being in the same high attractiveness group as them and would look down/not want to associate with me kind of thing
@quixotic_life @sunnysideup I most definitely used to be this way, and still struggle with it. I used to automatically click away from buff guys because I figured if they spent that much time in the gym, they would be disgusted by me. However, I'm getting better at not making such self-depreciating generalizations, and have even gotten to know some absolutely lovely gym rats who appreciate me just the way I and my body am. π
Wow. It really sucks to see how many in these comments feel uncomfortable with their own look, and instantly attach that perception to their personality. I get told I'm pretty by most of my cudlee's but I have never been the first to bring it up before, during or even after the cuddle. I hate that how one looks can alter a level of comfort, and even cause you to not get the touch and companionship you need. I try my best to give the same level of comfort to every cuddle buddy of mine. I cuddle everyone the same. I really wish others would do the same, and see this how I do. β€π§‘πππππ€π€π€
Definitely by a woman's beauty. The caveat? It's only when you interact person-to-person that a womans beauty is matched with the beauty of her heart. And that requires a woman's willingness to be open with her heart.
I am still amazed that these beautiful women even consent to being near me. I am not conventionally handsome and have heard from more than a few women in my life that I am not desirable because of my weight, my looks, my nerdiness and my lack of personality. Thank god I make decent money because that has been the great equalizer and has only reinforced my cynical belief I have had since I was a teenager that my most desirable attribute is my wallet.
@Spud424 That is very sad; it breaks my heart when guys here tell me that they only feel valued for their financial status. Especially by those close to them who should love them for who they are. It's just wrong. Anyway, being an enthusiast, I have absolutely nothing to gain from you financially, and I would happily cuddle you, anytime our paths cross. And for the record, you have great hair, and I love the color of it, as well!
@Spud424 Same - until very recently, my most significant dating experience was with someone who mainly wanted my financial resources. I felt like, for a very long time, in the eyes of women, if you are a guy that is not a player/rockstar, your only worth is your wallet, but my mind is slowly changing on that
I enjoy good company, and conversation, so attraction isn't a big thing for me. Cause you get the best vibes from people you didn't expect to vibe with.
My ugly arse can say for a fact, it's decided by aesthetics. Poll above proves that. But from the insignificant viewpoint of my autistic arse, intellect, empathy and personality of whatever fictional individual would matter the most.
@SithHappens Your viewpoint is delightful, and certainly not insignificant. Welcome to the site! Love the play on words in your username. I've visited Washington a few times, and we hope to live there, someday! π
In my case, attractiveness doesn't influence my decision to cuddle someone. I prioritize factors like body language, word choice, personality type, shared expectations, and mutual communication. For me, building a connection based on communication, compatibility, and mutual understanding is key when it comes to cuddling. Attractiveness plays no part in my decision-making.
I do not look for attractiveness!!!!! My goal here is meet people, make friends and help others deal with every day challenges LIFE throw in our path. ALL regardless of what background is welcomed to reach out to me.
I think attractiveness plays a role in 76.92% of the cuddling interactions but what do I know?
(+ or - 1% or whatever the standard deviation is)
For me it is personality and how I think I will get along with the cuddler. Looks play a little part in it but mostly it is what I read in their bio that makes the difference to me.
