Hello Fellow Cuddlers!

I'm excited to share with you all a personal creation of mine: the Cuddle Comfort Quotient (CCQ). As a fellow non-professional cuddler who loves using Cuddle Comfort, I thought of contributing to our community by introducing a standardized way to rate our cuddle sessions. Here's how it works:

The CCQ System:
The CCQ is a 1 to 5-star rating system that evaluates various aspects of our platonic cuddle sessions:

Cost Cuddlenomics (💰 Star):
1 Star: The session is overpriced compared to market rates and the quality of service offered.
2-3 Stars: The session is priced reasonably, aligning with market rates and the quality of service provided.
4-5 Stars: The session offers exceptional value for money; costs are significantly lower than average market rates without compromising quality.

Time & Talk (⏰🗨️ Star):
1 Star: The cuddler frequently arrives late and/or lacks effective communication skills.
2-3 Stars: The cuddler is generally punctual with occasional delays and provides adequate communication.
4-5 Stars: The cuddler is always on time (or early) and maintains consistent, clear, and empathetic communication.

Hug Variety (🤗 Star):
1 Star: The cuddler sticks to one or two basic positions with little to no adaptation to the client's preferences.
2-3 Stars: The cuddler provides a moderate variety of positions, but there's room for more creativity or adaptation.
4-5 Stars: The cuddler offers a wide range of cuddle positions, tailored to the client's comfort and preference.

**Fashion Flexibility (👚 Star): **
This category evaluates the comfort level of the clothing worn by the cuddler, in terms of how it contributes to the overall comfort of the cuddle session. It's about the feel and suitability of the attire for a cozy, relaxing cuddle experience, rather than the style or specific type of clothing.
1 Star: The cuddler's attire, while possibly stylish, is not conducive to a comfortable cuddling experience (e.g., fabrics that are uncomfortable to the touch).
2-3 Stars: The cuddler's clothing is generally okay for cuddling, but there's room for improvement in terms of comfort (e.g., mostly comfortable with some minor aspects that could be softer or more relaxed).
4-5 Stars: The cuddler wears attire that is ideal for a cuddle session, focusing on softness, warmth, and overall coziness, greatly enhancing the cuddle experience.

Aroma & Ambiance (🌸🌟 Star):
1 Star: The environment has an unappealing scent or is poorly set up.
2-3 Stars: The environment is pleasant with a decent aroma and a comfortable setting, but lacks distinctive touches.
4-5 Stars: The environment is exceptionally welcoming with a pleasing aroma; the setting is thoughtfully arranged.

Extra Points - Automatic 5 Stars:
If a cuddler does something exceptionally remarkable that enhances the platonic cuddle experience, they earn an automatic 5-star overall rating. This is a way to recognize and appreciate those extraordinary efforts that make a session stand out, while adhering to the platonic guidelines of our community.

Calculating the Overall CCQ Score:
To determine the overall CCQ score, simply take the average of the stars given in each category. This average will be your session's overall star rating, providing a balanced view of the experience.

Privacy and Respect:
While sharing your CCQ ratings and experiences, please remember to respect the privacy of specific session details. The personal nature of our platonic cuddle sessions is a private affair between the participants.

    Neat but sometimes less is more and this just really seems like a liot and can make something simple into something complicated for no necessary reason, though i applaud your effort and creativity. But only relevant if the site owner wishes to employ something different than what is already in place.

    Perhaps Fashion Flexibility should be rated based on comfortable cuddle attire instead of accepting clothing requests? Some folks, Pros especially, explicitly state on their profile that they do not accept clothing requests. The reason they give is that this is a cuddle session, not a date. So, they may take issue with the low star rating on this.

    Appreciate that and agreed, I was thinking the same after I created it. It sticks to the same 5 star rating scheme the owners already have in place. If not for anything, it's a half-decent guide for those that might need some help in formulating their reviews.

    I love the initiative and character you’ve put into this, I think this could be really useful for those who are interested in using it and it is amusing to see for those of us who might not use it and prefer to score a session naturally after evaluating the experience of one’s own individual opinion of how they felt and how the session may have impacted them !!!

    Keep up the creativity, it is still helpful for some and especially nice for new comers to see 😊😊😄

    @Seldduc I can see where you're coming from, however not everyone places the same level of importance on any given list of items. In fact there are probably people who don't care about or are indifferent to some of these items you list . So it's only a template if you share the same views on it is all I'm saying.

    I also appreciate the effort you put into this, @Seldduc.

    Personally it wouldn't be of use to me as an enthusiast who almost exclusively cuddles other enthusiasts. So I don't know if you're envisioning this only being on Pro accounts.

    If I were hiring Pro's, I would certainly want to separate the Time and Talk section into two, as they really aren't related, and someone's communication skills could be lovely, but they might not respect someone else's time, or have good time management skills.

    I agree with @TxTom regarding the Fashion bit. That was an instant red flag to me, as it was unclear if you're referring to clothing requests based on some kind of sexual preference, or if it's due to allergies, a texture aversion, etc.

    As @pmvines mentioned, something this specific is very particular to the writer's taste, and not everyone's. There are aspects of this that would never matter to me, and multiple things I could think of that are missing. But it clearly shows what matters to you, so I think you should employ this for yourself in a spreadsheet, so you can enjoy the rating system as you go through your cuddle journey. I am very detailed and OCD and love making lists and things of this sort, so I totally get you. :3

    @pmvines @SouthernDoll Completely understand and love the feedback! it's definitely just a guide/template and not designed to replace the current system in place. Most already have some type of personal system in place or just base it off the natural vibe as you both said.

    @SunsetSnuggles Thanks for that. Yes, we are a very diverse bunch with unique tastes. There's no way to capture all the criteria that any one cuddler would be interested in (and you're right, this is geared more towards the Pro cuddlers). I updated the fashion segment to try and remain respectful.

    Most definitely 👍🏾 I think is actually very well written and thought out , I think the way you’ve described the CCQ is going to be the most beneficial for our new comers to the cuddle community since they’ll most likely becoming into the cuddle community with little to no background and understanding of what things to lookout for and key in on during a platonic cuddle session, as well as have a tool to refer to on how to properly label and score a session ☺️ then once they get more familiar with C.C. they will be able to govern their ratings more independently and accurately after gaining some experience and exposure.

    As for cuddlers and cuddle lovers who’ve been around for a while, might have already exerted some of the pointers given in the CCQ in their cuddle session ratings and developed their own way of scoring. I am glad you enjoyed the feedback and shared your thoughts on them as well 😃😄

    I also agree this is well thought out and some will find it a good guide to evaluating sessions. I personally get a general feeling before, during, and after a cuddle session that guides how I evaluate it. I’m sure I use most of these suggestions in my evaluation. I just know if the session is 5 star when the session is complete. Thanks for your contribution.

    @Seldduc wonderful post and welcome to the forum!

    You make good points, all of which I’d consider when evaluating a session, but as a “quotient” it’s just too complicated and formulaic, not to mention impersonal. Cuddlers are real people with real personalities behind them, and I’d be damned if I had to use a single numeric metric to decide who to cuddle! One example: when choosing a pro I first check if they are in my price range; if they are, then I apply the same criteria I’d use for anyone on this website, namely, the vibe I get from reading their profile or forum posts. If they are out of my price range, I don’t book with them at all. For this reason I wouldn’t dedicate a star for “cuddlenomics.” If a cuddler delivers exceptional value, it will factor in the rating in a general way, and also in that I’ll certainly book longer sessions or more often.

    We all know how FICO scores, bond ratings, etc. were a great invention for allowing standardization in loans and mortgages, allowing them to trade just like stocks, but the financial crisis of 2008 taught us just how untrustworthy that system was.

    When evaluating a session, it’s really just weather I felt comfortable, accepted, and cared for. Those three alone get a cuddler to five stars, the other extras like ambience, variety, etc might help decide if I’ll book again. For example, if privacy is violated it would be an automatic fail and no rebook. Although my profile is quite open and I’m somewhat of a public figure in the cuddle community, I still value privacy.

    The cuddlenomics part would have to go, otherwise this is a ranking purely for pros and lest we forget, karma reviews are done on the client as well. No one is saying an enthusiast is overpriced. In short, the proposed system is very prejudicial against pros with little that is client specific.

    @RadiantHugs Appreciate your perspective and take on it. I agree with the complicated piece of it for veteran cuddlers. Looks like there are some tried and true ways of reviewing sessions that don't need to be messed with.

    Imo, it's all a tall order. I think if they're on time, clean, performed the required duties, and are caring, then it should be 5 stars. What one person finds perfect is not how another feels.

    While having basic standards can help, creating such a tall order (8+ positions and does xyz) or failure being on the other spectrum, seems a lot. You're hiring a pro cuddler after all, and not playing: "build-a-cuddler." I think if any of us try to meet those standards above in our day jobs we would get demoted several times each year.

    I think many of the suggestions are nice, and would be useful for people to know (primarily when booking a pro, the guide seems less applicable to enthusiasts)

    But I think it might make cuddling maybe a bit too stressful for some pros which might translate into too clinical of an experience for me

    @Minestrone101 That was exactly what I was trying to think through putting. All of what you said but didn’t want to sound combative. Very well said. As I tell my clients I have 5 standard cuddle positions and I don’t play twister (meaning the game, left hand blue, right foot yellow).

    @stormydaycuddle I miss that game lol . But yes, I think pro cuddlers already offer warmth and an ear and their time. that's a lot already. But it shouldn't feel like they are fulfilling some kind of "I dream of Genie" situation either. They're just human .

    @Seldduc You're right. But, if those are all things you're looking for in a session, maybe discuss those things with your cuddler beforehand. maybe even discuss which postures and positions you're both comfortable in trying and what you're hoping to gain from the sessions (and be willing accept not all pros will vibe w you the same way - which hopefully doesn't just equal 1 star). I think communicating expectations and comfort level will help, so nobody is surprised there might be a hidden rubric that they failed.
