If so, why does only one party pay for it? Seems a bit unfair, no? Just curious. Is this just a result of the market dynamics a.k.a supply/demand?
I enjoy my job and get paid for it (I mean, not well, but they do pay me).
Have fun with the other responses you get... 😉
I don't pay for cuddling, but I also don't belong to a party. where's the party? 🥳 🎉
market dynamics
Yep
I LOVE my day job, and benefit from it deeply. I get paid so that I can also eat and pay rent.
We are offering a service. We request pay for that service.
• If it’s out of our home, we travel • If it’s in our home, we have the hosting duties • We are putting ourselves at risk for physical and sexual violence • We take time to screen potential clients • We are in communication with clients before and during the session • We allow strangers to physically hold our bodies • We reserved time for you that we could be using to make money elsewhere
Again, we are offering a service and we require pay for that service, regardless of how “beneficial” it is.
Regarding your first question - it’s very important to me that my cuddle partner enjoys our co-experience. I believe an experience with aligned expectations, respect, transparency and balanced energy frequency provides benefit to both parties.
I’ll let others speak to your second question. “Fair” is a 4-letter word and really doesn’t mean anything to anyone but yourself. Meaning, you have to decide what’s fair or not based on your path, life experiences and perspective.
Happy cuddles.
Right, because women should only be paid for things that bring them misery
For the cuddle to be a very good or even great then I would say yes !! I have had Pro’s that I could feel they enjoyed it as much as I did. For me it’s very important that we both enjoy our cuddle time together. I have also had a few Pro’s that I could feel that they were only there for the money. So the big question I would guess would be should a Pro fake it ?. I would think YES, is it wrong, I don’t think so myself. The question would not apply to a non Pro as I would assume because they want to cuddle to enjoy the experience .
Another one of these threads, lol
These are valid questions, however the answers are individual and internal. You have to decide what makes sense to you. Believe me don't take it personal what comes next in this thread @Mihir, there will be a lot of posturing and condescending very soon.
I'm not touch starved even before doing this professionally so sessions will probably will never be as beneficial to me as to the people that I work with.
Some cuddles I've felt rested and rejuvenated after..
Things I've held space for during other cuddles: a straight 60 minutes of sobbing, venting, borderline inappropriate stories of tmi, people trying to cross my boundaries, and being with various states of mental illness across all the spectrums of what that word means.
I love holding space for all of that. (Except boundary crossing but haven't had to deal with that in a long time)... but I can't do that for free. I will burn out so fast. So it all balances out. I couldn't do this job 40 hours a week hence the higher prices. I price for how much I want to work.
@BashfulLoner what's condescending is the assertion that it's unfair to men and that pro cuddlers shouldn't exist simply because they might or might not also enjoy cuddling in their perosnal lives, and the way that it feeds into this notion that men are being taken advantage of and so on and so forth. When you see responses to the many threads and posts on this it does get tiresome. And you don't have to pat everyone on the back and treat them like emotionally fragile crystal that will break at the first sign of criticism just to not be considered soemome who is unempathetic or a meanie . I can be both empathetic as well as not a meanie and also not cater to forum silliness. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
@pmvines no joke right 😂😂😂
@pmvines i didn't read that assertion in the OP, i read a question. Probably something he was trying to understand.in his discovery of the site. I know most people here a seasoned and get rather annoyed by the questions that they've discussed many times, but I'd assume that for most that are new to this the question was an attempt to dialogue to better understand.
I'm sure we could make an assumption to what this new member could have been leading to, but the way it was stated I'm not easy to assume that. What i do find fragile is how many believe that 1. Everyone would agree with their position and 2. All men come here feeling they are entitled to women's space and time.
I for one, wanted to add to the conversation a bit that might be valuable for the OP.
But hey that's only my opinion and observation.
Yes, both parties can easily and joyfully benefit from a cuddle session.
It is a service being provided to a individual who is in need or want of such a service, not to mention if the client has special requests or circumstances that we’ve to accommodate can also affect the pricing or extra fees such as traveling, hosting or extended timing etc.
Anyone can benefit from cuddling and can either pay for a professional cuddle or do a free session with an enthusiast. So your statement/assumption of “only one party pay for it” is inaccurate ☝🏾 for only one party has the option to decide to pay for it but every single person here has the option and choice to cuddle for free and to cuddle someone for free.
One just has to decide what is a better choice for the individual and to do some reading in the forums to better educate themselves on the cuddle community here and your options 😄 !!!
~ Happy Cuddling Everyone 🤗 ~
Even when an enthusiast cuddles an enthusiast, yes, both benefit, but as a female enthusiast, there’s a lot of talking to me before the actual cuddle to ensure I trust the person. Many paying men do not want the chat, they want to schedule and pay. That’s fine, but I’m not just going to schedule my time and my energy for someone that doesn’t get to know me beforehand. You are free to cuddle an enthusiast for “free” if you prefer that. But there’s still a lot of effort put in, no cash, but effort. Nothing is free.
For people who are saying the pro cuddlers are offering a service I think one should be qualified to offer that service for a fee in the first place. Most of the pro cuddlers here are not professionally certified in any psychology/healing/trauma/etc. practice to charge $100+/hr. Forgive me for saying this, but many women (obviously not all) here wake up one day and decide to earn some side money for cuddling. When there's a healthy market for being a pro, there's just no incentive for anyone to become an enthusiast here. Why would they! This is exacerbated by the following fact. Signing up to become a pro cuddler is super easy. May be it'll help if this website raises the bar for being a pro cuddlers and expect some minimum certification and also verify them. PS: Obviously I get the travel fees and not contesting that.
The same reason clubs will have ladies night and only guys have to pay to get in. I'm surprised this question is being asked because I thought it was common knowledge.
Oy vey! Here we go again....😐
Listen to @pmvines .... seriously, it will just be easier on you in the threads. 😎
@mel8675309 also made a good point about what "fair" means....listen to that too!
Also @coregulate and @SmokyQuartz great points! 🤗
And @quixotic_life yes! 💯
Be careful about what you take from @BashfulLoner (sorry, but it's true), he just likes to take OPs side for sh*ts and giggles....but it won't make you any friends and that also doesn't mean your pov is correct. 😟
Hopefully you're actually open to learning something here, and not just stirring the pot 🤷🏻♀️
Also, @Mihir your last comment completely misses the whole other side of why women choose not to be enthusiasts. @SmokyQuartz mentioned a whole bunch of reasons. Any woman who is an enthusiast gets her inbox blown up daily, deals more with cuddlers wanting to "take" from her (energy, time, emotional energy, etc) but not reciprocate. Also those who try to turn enthusiast cuddles into dates.
Women enthusiasts have to be much more careful with who they choose to cuddle with....meaning the pool of men they cuddle is going to be very small. I will cuddle with anyone who needs it (barring safety issues)! So you can realistically get a pro to cuddle whenever, but definitely not an enthusiast.....or at least not without a LOT of effort on your part. Imagine having to do that in order to get a doctor to see you for free or a therapist.
And just like how it's up to us pros to do our own vetting for clients....it's also up to you to do your own vetting for pros. If you picked wrong, there are also threads giving advice about how to choose a pro. They have extremely good advice....if you are actually open to it. And not just here to complain 🤨
Most of the pro cuddlers here are not professionally certified in any psychology/healing/trauma/etc. practice to charge $100+/hr.
Neither are models but they make that or more an hour. You are comparing apples to oranges. Pros are offering cuddling and their time and if you don’t like the price, then don’t book them. Same as buying a car, buying a ticket for a movie, etc. It’s your money and there are choices to be made. Adults tend to make choices and not blame an individual for what they charge.
I'm not blaming anyone or here to stir any pot. Of course, I have the choice to choose who I cuddle with. I'm pointing out the market dynamics here and how this site is feeding into that dynamic. Cuddlers are not models, so that's a bad comparison. I see cuddlers as healing/therapy professionals and have high respect for them if they're actually qualified to do so. Not some random woman who woke up one day and decided to earn some side money by cuddling. Think of the essence of what I'm saying instead of becoming defensive and please read with an open mind. It's meant to be a discussion/debate :-). I'm new here and learning and just find some things a little weird. I was expecting pro cuddlers to be certified professionals. But I find random women here.
I see cuddlers as healing/therapy professionals and have high respect for them if they're actually qualified to do so
That’s on you for seeing them as more than what they are and quite frankly it is unfair to put that on them. They are cuddlers, that’s all. Seeing them as more than cuddlers is your problem and they are qualified to cuddle. Pretty simple.
@BoomerSpooner Somatic therapy is a thing. There are some people who are just cuddling and there are those who use somatic therapy in the form of cuddles to help people heal from emotional, sexual or physical trauma. Both are valid and you will find both on this site.
@4TheSnugs Again that is not what the site is putting forward. There are not that many offering that. It may be a thing but that is not what the site is pushing. If a pro is offering that it is buyer beware like anything. But it still comes down to this is a cuddle site, a pro is free to charge $1000 an hour if they want, and you are free not to hire them. The site is not making claims about therapy nor should they.
@BoomerSpooner "If they are qualified to do so," they said. I definitely agree with you in that people should charge whatever they want because it's a service either way, just wanted to point out that there's people who are therapists who work with bodies.
@RedFox16 reading is fundamental, if you read before passing judgement you'd notice i didn't take anyone's side or make a position on the subject. but thanks for your acknowledgment . I'm happy to not be clicked up with the gang that has perfected admonishing of people with differing opinions than mine. But i see it.
@Mihir you have now changed your question into a statement and position you cannot defend. Best of luck with the outcome.
@BashfulLoner I have no bone at all to pick with you and I generally feel you are good people . You first comment you made on here was about posturing and condescension . For people speaking their minds and opinions about something in what you feel is not the way they should be responding . That’s almost egging on conflict on your part . Now you’re calling it part of a click gang ? Because not everyone on here agrees with OP and not everyone is willing to give back pats and treat everyone like children instead of adults ? There isn’t anything clicky about that. It’s simply people being people and responding in a way that you don’t agree with or take offense to so you’re turning it into a us and them thing. It’s silly .
Click gang..... Im giggling. 🤣🤣 That's a new one.
