Smart Water is my favorite. @Bear I remember visiting someone in the LakeView neighborhood. was offered a glass of tap water. the water was white. almost like milk. you couldn't see thru it. I was like "do you drink that?"
Few years ago they connected us to Lake Michigan, so I disabled the softener, and my tap water is even better now and totally ok to drink.
@NickWk I wanted to drink out of the garden hose the other day at my parent's so I wouldn't have to go inside in the middle of yard work but was afraid to. Things aren't like they used to be. Plus if my mom thought I drank out of the hose now she might worry. I often eat grapes without washing because washing removes the bloom (where I think the taste is) and I tell her since I let TN Oncology run poison thru my veins I'm not sure it matters if I wash grapes, lol.

Also I have a reverse osmosis water filter thing at home and omg the water is so good.

The men I know that have had kidney stones look absolutely traumatized if they happen to hear those two words. A look I never see on their faces any other time. I feel for them.
@CharlieBear Lol, there's an old saying that you have to eat a peck of dirt before you die. I believe that. I think it's a way of saying that no matter what you do all dirt and germs, etc. can't be avoided.
I know someone that went to Iceland and they got to drink glacier water. They harvested? it right in front of the group. They didn't notice it tasting special but they aren't a picky eater and don't have a sensitive palate. I feel like I could tell, but who knows?
I don't how a water convo could be so interesting, but it is, lol.

@CharlieBear That makes sense. Did you get to go to the Hot Spring or see the Northern Lights? I just learned that sometimes the Lights make noise. The natural world is wondrous. I should have asked my sis to bring back 3 oz. of water in a clear container or whatever the TSA allows now. She did bring back some good chocolate actually made in Iceland.

Filtered tap water is fine. Though Evian is my choice if I need a bottle.
@achetocuddle When we were kids, running around all day, playing crash up derby on our BMX bicycles, dirt ball fights, building tree forts, more dirt ball fights... we'd take a break in the shade of the house and guzzle water out of the garden hose. It tasted so good!
When I was in Europe I developed a liking for mineral water. Addicted to it today. Topo Chico, or the local grocery store version, 1877.

Unfortunately the northern lights were not on display while I was there though I was looking out for them.
Bottled water is toxic and bad for the environment. I am a water snob though 🤷🏽♀️
I prefer to fill my 5 gallon jug up with reverse osmosis and then add trace minerals to remineralize it. If I’m out and about without my hydro flask (which goes everywhere with me ) then spring water is my go to.
My favorite water is adding fresh mint and cucumbers to mine. Did you know that cucumbers in water give more electrolytes than gaterade? Fun fact.

I tend to go for tap water over bottled (tho based in London). Also prefer hot or room temperature to cold. I usually request for no ice with my tap water! I know the cheek!:( (hopefully the servers dont add any undesirable extras!)
High reccommend the sparkling water from Lidl ! I spent years not understanding sparkling water but the Lidl brand is my fav. Very fizzy ( will make you burp- LOTs!) But absolutely worth it. I enjoy it any temperature. Gives the buzz of fizzy drinks without the sugar!
When I took my cruise to Alaska the small excursion boat made various alcoholic drinks using a large chunk of glacial ice they had scooped out of the water. It pretty much tasted the same as regular ice.
@Vocalist100 I wonder how old the glacial ice was they used, did they use the top part or deep part of the glacier? I love the blue colors glaciers make. Maybe 14-18000 years old ice?
We use tap water filtered by reverse osmosis. Most water filters don't do a good enough job for me. As far as bottled water brands, Fiji and Smartwater are my go-tos unless a store brand equivalent is available.

There are a lot of unethical practices in global water rights that bottled water companies exploit. I think @cuddlepuddlezz is ultimately talking about the mass production of plastics that are rarely recycled and even if so, can be harmful to human health. When first relocated to California, many many moons and seasons ago, was blessed to meet a woman that was going through some serious stomach cancer issues, and you would’ve never guessed it by her energy, her compassion for others and her resolve to keep positive attitude, even in the light of her body, fighting an internal war on cancer. The energy and glow she had was beyond and still is!!! She revealed to me that she was hard line only eating organically and changing the water she was drinking, was huge and mind opening.
Essentia & Ph balanced water made a HUGE impact on her fight with cancer and she’s still here today because of the change in her diet and the change in her water consumption methods. Plus her mind over matter were and are key elements to health.
Tap water here in my area is “safe” but add in all the environmental factors which do not showcase in the annual tap water test results and you need to see what you’re drinking.
Essentially Essentia, Fiji, Hawaiian Volcanic Water and Sam’s club brand PH water is the way I try to mostly go.

Tap water run through an Epic water filter. It really doesn’t matter whether the tap is in MI, IN, TN, GA, or CO - it all tastes the same after it has been filtered.
@CelestialTouch they scooped a piece of ice that had broken off the glacier from the water, washed it off a bit then chopped off any parts that had dirt or silt frozen in it.

I've used a countertop reverse osmosis water filter since the summer. Before then, I usually drank Essentia.
I drink tap water. On a well from the property I live on.
