My dad was a “type A” personality (maybe AA would be more accurate) as I was growing up. His “solution” to every problem / injury, whether physical or emotional, was to “walk it off.” He mellowed some in his later years.
As my dad laid in a bed in hospice care, just hours before he passed, my brother asked him if he had just 1 piece of advice for us kids what would it be? His answer was “Let it go.” This was a year before the movie Frozen and the theme song that made that line popular.
I try my best to live by his advice.
