How many times does someone have to look at your profile before you reach out to them?

I'm especially interested in answers from other pros. :)

I don't like messaging other people first as a pro, because it's poor etiquette (and vibrationally bad) to seek out clients, but I will sometimes message someone if they've looked at my profile three or more times, especially in a very short span of time.

How does everyone else handle repeating peepers? 😊

    I agree that in general it's bad form for a professional to message first, and having asked around on this point my impression is that it rarely triggers a booking, so from that point of view it's probably not worth it anyway.

    However ... there are potential clients who are extremely nervous or unsure and/or have social anxiety. A kind message can be helpful for them, even if it's more of a general help than specifically opening a conversation about booking. Many professionals who do send brief, pleasant messages couch them in terms of, "happy to answer any questions you may have after reading my profile".

    It's common sense to have a copy/paste template for the heart of the message, but always personalise it if you can. At the very least start with the person's exact username.

    Three views in close succession seems like a reasonable threshold to me.

    Repeated views in themselves convey no meaning. For example, I have found myself returning repeatedly to the profile of a professional I will never book (too far away) because I found the scenery in one of their photos exceptionally restful.

    They can look a dozen times if I'm not interested in their profile (blank, generalized, doesn't seem compatible, has red flags, or they've shown red flags on the board).

    All it takes is once if their profile says something meaningful that makes me want to reach out. 😊

    Go ahead and reach out to them if they have looked at your profile. Nothing to lose and a client to gain :-) I’m pretty sure every one has at least once booked that way. I’ve done it before.

    @CuddleDuncan - I love your answer, especially that last part about the pro's photos. I actually do exactly what you said! I ask them if they have any questions. 😊 And if they're new to the site, I welcome them.
