What are some fun things to do in Las Vegas that aren’t touristy (no gambling) I need to get out more

The first thing I did in Vegas was hike in the Red Rock canyon area. Someone mentioned the trail that overlooked the city and it was beautiful. So much contrast from arriving downtown surrounded by buildings, lights, noise. The hike made everything seem so small. Still took time to do the touristy garbage, but that’s not my thing. Couldn’t find a pull lever slot machine, very few left everything is electronic, so never even tried gambling.
@NickWk I am with you on hiking and nature. Just finished a ten miler. Other than the nature, Vegas and gambling have never held an allure for me even though I have been there several times and I can see the fruits of my labor in the casinos. But it’s all flash and dash intended to part tourists from their money. And they are quite good at that in Vegas..
Go check out the Valley of Fire National Park. Its a great day trip.
@BoomerSpooner Couldn't agree with you more about Vegas. The town was built on the old mantra "A fool and his money are soon parted".
I've never been to Vegas and have never been interested in it, but Nick's Red Rock Canyon pic is good and the Canyon looks interesting and worthwhile.

@lesmis33 I lived in Vegas for a year and a half and sadly, we were moving away just as that opened. I've been back to visit numerous times but am always running too fast to go! Maybe next time.
Also, I'm with the rest of you who say screw gambling - along with all the usual debauchery that goes on, there. I was happy to live away from The Strip. I did love the food in Vegas, though.
