I liked 60 better than 30 π
@boomerspooner you donβt want to know how long Iβve been 35 πππ itβs become a running joke after that guy tried to get my personal info. @CharlieBear πππ
Enjoy every year around the sun.
My 20s were amazing. I don't know how I did everything: work, school (bachelor's) dancing/clubbing/drinking 3-4 times a week, first long term relationship, and dating, more dating, and more dating. 30s were more mellow, much less clubbing, more LTRs, a focus on career, and start a Master's program. 40s was a fantastic decade of finishing a masters (yes, it took me 10 years), flourished in my career, and celebrated and cherished the LTRs. At 50, I was the most fit of my life: active runner/biker/hiker, 100 pushups/day, yoga, and I was looking at the end of the tunnel in my career. Retirement is 3 years away.
All this to say, enjoy your years. You have no idea when your number is up, so until it is called, go do the things, all the things you want to try and experience. Go live it up.
Happy birthday to the respective December birthday folks.
@Sideon That was very beautiful...and I've never wanted to live past 30.

Happy Birthday!
Glad you are liking the 30s. I prefer the 20s personally.
I arranged for birthday cuddles this past birthday, which was wonderful. And I've had a couple nice little birthdays along the way. But overall I haven't felt all that excited about my birthday in and of itself since 21.
Happy birthday @Runawaycuddles
@Sideon Wow. Your 20s sound like I wish my 20s were like. My 20s involved a lot of depression and avoiding people and no dating at all, which I regret quite a bit. But atleast my 30s are getting on track career wise.
@SunsetSnuggles That sounds kinda sad?
@Amortentia I think that an optimal 30s path exists and I have yet to discover it
@sunnysideup Years battling suicidal ideation...but I lived past 30.

Happy birthday, OP! I have to say that I am absolutely LOVING my 40s! I feel like I finally have ownership of my life and decisions! Iβm comfortable in my skin (even if itβs getting wrinkles and sagging in places). I will celebrate every birthday Iβm blessed to have, because none of them are guaranteed! πππππ₯³
Never had birthday parties or celebrations growing up so once I hit 25 I started celebrating my birthday month. This mainly stemmed from the fact that I love quality time with people and weβre all pretty busy adults so I do a lot of one-on-one with my friends throughout the month, and them being the amazing humans they are always each surprise me with the best outings or dinner. Love celebrating mine and my friendβs birthdays.
Iβm 27 and it feels so weird to type that because I still feel 16 or 4 or 8 or 20 but I also see the growth. Happy birthday btw. Iβm scared for 30 and also curious and excited. I donβt think itβs old at all but this is a new adult decade and all Iβve known is childhood up until now. My 20s have had good moments and sad moments. I know I can have more fun and I look forward to doing that.
