What happens if you get a little excited while cuddling it's only human nature to do so right?
Communicate and make sure u r partner is comfortable. It happens, change positions and maintain the boundaries good luck
I've never done this before what should I expect from this whole thing
I've never had this problem during cuddling, but if it ever happens to you, just tense up your leg muscles - it will help your blood flow away from... there. I've gotten some urges during cuddling but it's never been a problem.
I've only been a member for a few weeks but already this subject has come up three times, so I would just refer you back to the earlier threads. Also look at 'Cuddling discussions and resources' (half a dozen threads back) which has lots of great information that will answer most if not all of your questions.
Just think of your grandma for a while and you'll be fine. The reaction of the other person will vary depending upon the individual but personally I wouldn't care too much as long as that person was committed to keeping things platonic.
Inform your partner and then take a break.
I would suggest going to the search bar in the forums

There are plenty of threads on this topic.
You can never have enough threads about grown adults asking about male excitement with the wonderment and ignorance of a grade school child just entering puberty
@pmvines what does it matter, really? It's of pretty much 0 inconvenience to us and I've only seen 2-3 such threads since I've joined the site.
Exactly, so you can never have too many
If you use the search link above and type in the word erections, you’ll find that @pmvines has used that word in comments more than anyone else on the site lol
@Morpheus: His frequently bringing up the topic kind of makes me think of the homophobic pastor who keeps ranting about how he hates gays, because deep down inside, he has some insecurities... just saying.
I am with @pmvines on this one. He describes it perfectly and I’m glad he is able to do it with just the right amount of sarcasm, if I were to say it I’d probably lay it on pretty thick. But really, grown men asking what to do if they get excited? I think they just want to see what females have to say about it on the subject, thing is most of this threads are answered by men so the joke is on them. And now we are talking about gay hating too? That’s the reason why threads like these are not constructive at all but I get the feeling we haven’t seen the last of them and pretty soon we will see another grown man that just joined the site and the very first thing that comes to his mind is what to do if he gets excited during a cuddle session and this discussion will live on.
@mellow Yup, I do see a few folks who are genuine in their inquisition however it does often turn into a call and response of people wanting other people to talk about their penises, and trying to gauge responses of women to see which ones would be less complaintive about a hard on. And gay hating? Please, don't even try to go that route. Not gonna play into that fish bait, anybody with a microbe of common sense knows that's not the case!
@pmvines Aww, don't be so harsh!
@jennyharris1 I know, I'm so mean and vicious , I should learn to coddle more . Anyhow i am willing to admit when I'm being purposefully sarcastic rather than having productive discourse, so perhaps it's time for me to stop beating the dead horse that are the plethora of but whatever shall I do if I get a boner threads .
I agree with @pmvines. Grown mature men ought to be able to handle their baser instincts and more than that have the simple common sense about what is and is not appropriate behaviour when in such a situation. I think some people just like to talk about this topic in lieu of being able to wave their appendages and get people to look at it.
I have not accused anyone of hating gays. I was just making an analogy - read it again and you might get it.
i'm with @pmvines on this. they know what to do. they know they've signed on for a platonic cuddling session. do what you would do in any situation that you got an inconvenient erection and either excuse yourself or adjust your positioning.
in my experience, people who ask this question are testing the waters to see if a girl will be ok with their "excitement" pressing up against them. not a good look.
@caitleesi yup , it's usually just an excuse to bring attention to it without bringing attention to it . Unless you grow up in a bubble a grown adult doesn't need a half page dissertation on why they get excited and how to appropriately address it
I agree with everyone and their anti penis comments but I also see how the lead boner cop can come off as a creeper. I can also see how the homophobic comments can be misconstrued as anti gay statements. Everyone has a pretty valid point. You’re all amazing and awesome and I hope you know it.
@OzVisitor - I would never describe male arousal as a 'baser instinct'. I don't know why anyone would.
What are baser instincts?
I would say "A subconscious urge, behaviour, or intuition" - not sure where the offense has come in.
Anyhow, I am bowing out of this topic. I think grown men know how to act; this “oh, what do I do?” really is a bit ridiculous.
