Cancelations

edited December 2023 in General

Should the site consider to impose a small dollar fee on 24 hour cancelations and six hour cancelations.

  • Many Pro's have a short-notice cancellation policy with a deposit. The money should go to the Pro who doesn't have enough time to re-book that wasted slot, or who has traveled somewhere for a no-show.

So if I test positive today for a cuddle I have Wednesday I should have to pay

  • @cuddlemeup12 I assume you are referring to Covid; I imagine if you sent a screenshot of your test result to the Pro, they would reschedule you without any issues.

  • No. I think word-of-mouth (karma) will eventually catch up with those whom are prone to last minute cancellations.

In the meantime, yes, it's very rude and inconsiderate.

Tell the pro you have booked with, if you don't like their response then contact admin . No point posting about it we are but lay people with opinions, and no influence at all over the outcome of your situation.

  • So I do my best to book sessions and make clear if they love far I need a deposit. If they don't want to give me one they are not serious even if it is 20 or 40 bucks I at least don't waste gas or was compensate some thing better than nothing.

I have been cancelled on for a 2 hour session for some one who lived 2 and half hours away. So that's like 7 hours out of my day I could have booked some one and they didn't send me address day of. I notice alot of further away ppl want to be the ones to cancel so deposit deposit deposit.

I love my clients who are quick to book I do notice the ones who want to talk alot are not serious about booking or flake. Or have other intentions. Just watch for common signs that are your cancelled appointment have in common and learn from it.

Not saying every one is the same just saying what I have personal went through

  • FYI, OP has edited their original question out of the initial post; they wanted the money to be distributed to those who do not cancel.

  • Also yes ... If they cancel with in 24 hours I ask they pay for the session in full the next time they ask to book. Or I won't book with them. I may only ask for a deposit if the reason seems genuine.

Some times I even just block them because it's easier to just not deal with the headache.

I agree you should have to pay there is a 50% cancelation fee you owe […] as you were the no show twice. Well I should say canceled the same day twice.

November 4th as you can see in the photos […] canceled saying "Hello […], I would like to postpone our cuddle session until next month. I have run into big financial difficulties in the past week. […]" He did not cancel via CuddleComfort either time I had to do it so I wouldn't get charged.

The second time his excuse was that he couldn't head my way without my exact address even though he knew the city. I told him I don't give it out until right before the cuddle, I had verified the cuddle was happening several times.

So obviously it didn't make sense for him to cancel but whatever stuff happens. Then he gives me fake karma trying to say I was the one that I had canceled. That is not okay.

I tested positive for covid shortly after Christmas. I was told β€œ how convenient” . I have good karma don’t want to get someone sick. Especially someone who does this for a living. Here take this pass it on!

  • I personally wouldn't because I could lose a client if I were on that side. Meaning, if we are supposed to develop a relationship as "cuddler and cuddlee" I'll call it but you keep charging each time life happens, they won't come back.

I think just showing that you're understanding and saying "I understand, I hope all is well, and I hope to see you in the future" would be my perspective. Not "Hey, where's my money???!!!"

I think the money is great but also show some consideration to your client because you have no idea what actually came up. Again there's no right or wrong answer but I personally couldn't take anyone's money unless I provided a service to them.

I like money like everyone but I can't take theirs and give them no service or if I do I'd at least deduct from a future service. I think still "customer service" should be practice here too.
If you give a customer 1 free pizza they will buy 10 more. The way you treat your customers will dictate if your business succeeds.

Again...this is just personal view and this isn't law. I just believe in establishing a good relationship to keep customers.
One day you let them go and the next time they tip you an extra $100 with your cost.
I always think in advance even if I have to take the loss. Good people always gain in the end.
