A recent sample of the New Orleans cuisine…

  • Ive been craving chicken wraps so I finally made some for dinner, with my friends homemade smoked gooey butter cake for dessert

  • Once I got the basics of food prep down, and learned the flavors and combos I like best, I began to love the kitchen as a creative outlet. Certainly a therapy in its own right to provide and prepare what nourishes you and those around you.

I am blessed and privileged with my relationship to food and often get to wander the aisles of grocery stores or farmers markets, and even gardens or farms at times, to select what looks best or calls to my body at that time. Though I certainly have my favorites. Bodies are all so unique. I tend to love everything I make though I’d say other people most often describe it as β€œinteresting” lol

Now if someone else could just do all the dishes…

  • @Cjoy8 Make me something delicious (or " interesting") and I'll gladly handle dish duty! 🫧

Spicy salmon pan fried. It was great to have with rice & lentil stew.

I love everything about food. Growing, cooking, serving, eating.

Cooking puts me in to a mediative state :)

  • @Gooding great minds think alike my friend. Missing my summer garden right now and all the fresh things it brings.

  • This is a fantastic thread

  • I had to replace an air fryer since my last one quit. This one can cook chicken wings in half the time...15 minutes.

I do a lot of cooking, I really enjoy the activity as well as getting to eat some good food. Here's a recent burger I made with goat cheese, guacamole, tzatziki, kale, and some pan drippings from a duck I roasted on sourdough.

Took some cuttings of a rosemary plant that I started last year to season a steak for dinner tonight. The plant seems to be thriving on the winter rains we've been having lately, and the moon water I was feeding it during the dry season.

Hope everyone is having a lovely day.

I only recently started getting into cooking anything other than Mac and cheese and hot dogs. I cook a lot with chicken breasts since they are cheap and there's a thousand ways to cook them.

Tell me what you guys think!

No photos available but I developed a recipe for low calorie, high protein cheesecake.

6 individual servings, 80 calories, 6 grams of protein per serving

    Preheat oven to 320F.

In a food processor, combine until smooth:
1 cup low fat cottage cheese
    1 egg
1 Tablespoon lemon or lime juice

Then add and blend til smooth:
    1/4 cup flour
    1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
1/4 cup + 1 Tablespoon monkfruit or other granulated no calorie sweetener
    1 teaspoon vanilla

Pour into six ceramic ramekins. Alternatively, you can pour into six muffin tins lined with paper or silicone liners. Bake around 20 minutes until set. For best results, turn off the oven and prop the door slightly with a wooden spoon, allow to cool in the oven for an hour, then cool on the counter. Let chill in the refrigerator at least 4 hours or overnight. May be garnished with fruit.

    Enjoy!

  • Olive Oil with Garlic Powder, Paprika, Oregano, Cayenne Pepper, Sage(the spice, not my cat that shares that name), Salt, and Black Pepper. I then spread it over the wings before air frying.
