  • There hasn't been a boner thread in ages. What are the odds?

  • @pmvines THE REVOLUTION IS NIGH BROTHER!

  • After LITERALLY spitting out my coffee I do not deserve to be called a lady…

So I shall not respond to this genteel shout out

  • @sillysassy Hearing of your rancorous amusement brings me jubilation. :)

    Yeah, something’s up with that.

  • Yeah, something’s up with that. @BoomerSpooner

    This is a fabulous pun.

  • Since I missed out on the initial Bitcoin craze that would have allowed me to buy 3 mega-yachts by now, I'm going to get in on this one a lot earlier and start a GoFundMe campaign so I can buy CC and start charging people to post repetitive topics that have pretty much already been covered ad nauseum. By replying to this OP, or choosing a poll option, you are agreeing to my fee of $1.00, unless of course you're only here to be a smart ass in which case post to your heart's content.

I will be utilizing the smart ass clause in your terms of service! Thanks! :)

I do have a linguistical quarrel with the use of "Hello Lads" as a phrase. I can't quite articulate why, but I am simply put off by it. It may very well be my subjective opinion on the word "lads." I typically utilize it to clarify the posse that might be accompanying me for usually boisterous activities e.g. "grabbing a round with 'the lads.'" When greeting "the lads," I frequently invoke a playful pejorative (e.g. "sup sluts?") or a festive dichotomy (e.g. "ello gents!"). Depending on my mood of course.

  • If I send a dollar will the site take 15%?

Went from a few days timeout, to a few weeks, but now... banned [netrunner]

  • Combined all 4-5 of the "hello ladies" threads made by different site members. Enjoy the chaos of them being merged.

  • For whom the bell tolls, time marches on........ thank you @netrunner

The playground of testosterone is no more.

Time for another gun thread to get the man juices flowing.

We, The Society of Nebulous Women Greeters, have become a confederacy of threads. Long may we reign!

Though I do recognize my bias in the matter, I maintain my thread was the best one.

Author's note: I use "though" way too much. I find me obnoxious.

    ETA: I WAS THERE!

Strange memories on this nervous morning. Five years later? Six? It seems like a lifetime, or at least a Main Era—the kind of peak that never comes again. The Cuddle Comfort forums during February of the year of our lord 2024 was a very special time and place to be a part of. Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run . . . but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant. . . .

History is hard to know, because of all the hired bullshit, but even without being sure of “history” it seems entirely reasonable to think that every now and then the energy of a whole generation comes to a head in a long fine flash, for reasons that nobody really understands at the time—and which never explain, in retrospect, what actually happened.

There was madness in any direction, at any hour. If not across the General Forum, then up the Cuddle Request or down the Professional Forum. . . . You could strike sparks anywhere. There was a fantastic universal sense that whatever we were doing was right, that we were winning. . . .

And that, I think, was the handle—that sense of inevitable victory over the forces of Old and Evil. Not in any mean or military sense; we didn’t need that. Our energy would simply prevail. There was no point in fighting—on our side or theirs. We had all the momentum; we were riding the crest of a high and beautiful wave. . . .

So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in the Hello Ladies thread and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark—that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back.
