Cozy games to cuddle to

[Deleted User]ElijahFrisbie (deleted user)

I’ve recently gotten into smaller less action packed games as a way to actually unwind after work and was thinking about games you could actually play while cuddling, whether they are jucst cozy games, co-op games, idle games or even visual novels.
Some like Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley are some probably more well known obvious ones, but some I’ve come across have been
A Short Hike
Alone with You
Lego Builders Journey
Donut County
Mushroom Quest
The Almost Gone
The Longing

Would love to some recommendations of your own as well.

    I'm guessing these are all games you play on your phone?

  • Little Erde, hands down

  • I love the idea of cozy cuddle games. I could mention golf - there's a chill golf game on xbox - but I guess it depends on how competitive you are. There's also a cool story-based game called Life is Strange... I could also picture taking turns on some kind of creative mobile game, like a pottery game.

    Stardew Valley is my personal favorite. Eco is another one

    @jms17todd these are all ones I have on my Switch, though most are cross platform I believe. Most indie games take an extra year to come to switch.

  • Games that are played with pencil and paper.

    @TxTom Agree! 🙂

    I used to cuddle back in the late 70s with boy, who was a friend but not a boyfriend, when we played Dungeons & Dungeons at a mutual friend's house. The space was a finished basement with a couch and a bunch of oversized chairs, and a couple of beanbag chairs. Very comfy indeed!

    As an adult I've cuddled playing chess, board games, and such. Nothing has ever topped those D&D memories from when I was a teenager ...

    @TxTom @KateBee i dunno our D&D table gets rowdy and loud due to our unruly shenanigans. But I could see taking a choose you’re own adventure book and do it together, or even a short one shot and have one person lead the other through.

    Also a great co-op game I got to play with a friend was Moving Out. May not be the best for cuddling because it gets hectic but it is definitely a great time.

  • Minecraft. Just snuggled in to each other, building cute stuff and the relaxing music it plays is top tier

    @SunsetSnuggles i have a game called Movie Cliches that would actually probably work really well too. It’s usually meant as a drinking but that’s just an optional way to play.

  • I play some really weird games like Caves of Qud, or various MUDs. Those are always relaxing to me.

  • @ElijahFrisbie Instead of a shot, you choose a new cuddle position! 🤭

    @ElijahFrisbie Sounds fun. I've played at tables like that; I'm reminded of a raucous game where most of the players were into community theater and the like.

    The game from my teenage years I was talking about were pretty chill, and not usually too loud but we had fun, and it was a nice excuse to get together on the weekends and our game lasted a few years until we graduated from high school. We didn't sit at a table. It was mostly OD&D theater of the mind style sessions. A long time ago now, but fond memories. Met my first girlfriend through that game. Was sad when she left for college and I left for the military. 😕

    @SunshineSnuggles "Topix" looks fun.
