How are photos unlocked? Even people I am friends with have locked photos?
They can give you access by going to settings.
I was kind of curious about this myself.
Public pictures can be seen by anyone, and private can be seen only by those who are explicitly given access. The friends-only setting automatically allows access to people on your friends list, but you can grant access to these on a per-person and per-picture basis as well.
