About Me section

I’m always curious on the profiles on here that have absolutely nothing in their “about me” section.
As a pro, I love reading longer profiles, it makes me feel on ease with the person because they took their time and wrote about themselves.

Just curious to those with blank profiles,
What makes you not want to write anything?
(Genuine question, I love to learn things about people!)

  • My personality can’t be described well lol. I rely on karma and the experience of trying to know me😂

  • @jplemmon I can understand that, I appreciate the reply!

  • I write mine in invisible ink, so hold your phone up to a light or flame and the truth will be revealed in all its stark ugliness.

Well, mine is anything but blank so I wouldn’t know, but my speculation is:

    1) They are new and just want to dip their toe in the water so they haven’t fill anything in yet.

    2) Some people are not good at, or are uncomfortable with articulating themselves and just want to be a fly on the wall.

    3) Maybe just not that committed to the process.

  • @WestsideMarc
I just went through your profile, and I loved it!
I think that’s just what I’d like to see, just a well thought out profile.

But I see your points, and they all make sense as to why they might not write anything.

  • I think men in general like to keep it short about themselves but we females are opposite and we can talk it up. I try to keep that in mind and not be harsh with their about me sections.

  • I defy summary. One must go down the rabbit hole that is my brain.

  • I did fill out the about me section, but it took a while. I'm not a confident writer by any means, so I tend to be over careful to make sure my ideas are communicated as clearly as possible. I think I actually did have the profile active briefly with that section not filled out. I haven't changed that part at all for fear of wrecking it. I believe I was fortunate to get it decent once, I don't think I'd get it right again, not without a lot of painful reworking.

@sc1994 Thanks much I appreciate that.

@Amortentia I’d tend to agree. I am deeply passionate about the culture here and presenting my best self, whatever the heck that means, is of paramount importance to me. But even with a robust profile and 9 karmas you’d be amazed how difficult it is to find organic/enthusiast cuddles here. Even in Los Angeles with only 10 million people here I still have the message well over 100+ members to maybe even get just one meet.

For the longest time I had been opposed to using professionals just on the principle of paying for something like cuddling, but because it can be such an exhausting process finding enthusiastsI have recently acquiesced and started using a few pros. I’ve mentioned this before in other posts so please forgive the repeat.

In any event, as with any online experience I’m guessing there are alot more men than women so we gotta represent!

  • I believe someone's description off themselves likely shifts, therefore whatever they right may or may not capture how they feel. I believe i have something by a in mine that generally expresses something about me but by no means does it reflect how i feel about me today. Even pictures can be misleading so i feel words are probably more misleading , at least in my case.

  • @WestsideMarc You are one of the few who actually does have a nice About Me section so it helps those who plan to cuddle you get to know you better. The reason I think it is difficult to get those cuddles is that enthusiasts barely cuddle in general as a whole. Sure there are a few who stand out but there are also plenty of profiles who never had even one cuddle session and have been here a while. In your case you cuddle with pros which helps but it has its limits. Most pros only do this part time or sometimes since they have other jobs and so on. I am one of those so I will not be able to accept all sessions like if they want overnight or during times I have work. Very little of pros do this only and on a full time bases so those are the best to schedule with...especially if you live near one of course! So this is probably what you deal with when looking for cuddles in your area.

I'm going to guess the reason you started this topic was because we both viewed each other's profiles in the last hour or so, correct? WestsideMarc's number two and three points, especially the last one, is likely why I choose to keep my profile blank and have no photo of myself, and I also do value my privacy. I never signed up here for online social (I actually don't use any social media), I signed up here to meet and cuddle people near my area or whenever I travel to a city or somewhere. Though, I do lurk these forums from time to time and read the topics and posts. If I was asked to privately send a photo of myself to someone on here before meeting them, I would understand and would have no problem doing so before a session. I've had good conversations with cuddlers on here before, so don't think my blank profile means I don't have anything to say about myself when I meet someone!

Hi @Miles88 ! No I didn’t do it because of that but I did notice a good amount of profiles with nothing on there, and I do appreciate your reasoning as to why you keep it very plain. Thank you for letting me know!

@Amortentia Thanks for the props I appreciate it. I put a lot of time, thought, energy and intention into it, and I modify it from time to time. Also, I only VERY recently tried afew pros; but my first 6 karma (and a few other non karmas) were all from enthusiasts.

@BashfulLoner I totally get that. By the way, I looked at your profile and I think it is very well written. I like your job description too, good one. But I do have one question! Did you hire a professional cuddler photographer to take that shot ? Lol.

@Miles88 I’m a very private person too! That’s why I don’t include face pics but state in the first sentence that I’m happy to provide on an individual basis. I also had one sitch where someone did a reverse google image to find out who I was then sent it back to me and said “is this you”? That was creepy stalky and a bit of a violation of privacy. I’m really not that important……

  • If I am going to invest my money in an experience with a pro, I want to know something about her.. At least more than one picture. If I am interested enough, I might send a message like "I would like to cuddle with you but would like to know more about you".

  • I agree on "blank profiles", as it frustrates me. I think, at least for Pros, there needs to at least 1 paragraph. A recent profile I looked out, joined Feb 2024, is a Pro yet the About Me is blank. Why would I have any interest in even communicating if you share zero info?

  • My profile is not blank, but it’s definitely short and pretty low effort. Two reasons I think:

    1. I’m not really trying to appeal to enthusiasts; just pros. And for pros, I think the main thing is to just come off like a sane, safe person, and a short “About Me” plus some karma does that just fine I think. Actually, a lot of pros don’t even look at my profile before booking!

    2. I’m not great at conveying my personality in written form anyway. Even if I put a lot more time into my profile, it’s not going to really hook anybody.

  • @WestsideMarc thank you for the compliment. I actually went back and read my about me and it flies in the face of my first comment, because yeah that still sums me up.

As for the picture, i cannot take credit for that or being in it. Here's a glimpse of where it came from. I just think it's a great way to cuddle and fall asleep. I also think for the few that have seen me I'm much more good looking than 1 of those good people.
    Check it out

If you bother to watch that, i can also say that i only speak and write in my own voice 😂. No code switching for me. I keep it one thowow!

  • Meanwhile, as always, my profile is too long and thorough. 🤣

  • @PixiePassions who, me? 😅😅😅

This is probably one of my shorter profiles, lol. I appreciate when people take the time to reflect and share a bit about themselves. After all, what is the point of having a personalized profile if not to be personal? If I wanted anonymous encounters there's other places for that. Our profiles are our shop windows...they are what entice people to engage with us. Blank profiles don't exactly inspire one to want to spend energy and time engaging since the other person couldn't invest the time themselves.

  • @WestsideMarc same deal. I’m in LA and I respond extremely quickly to all clients, yet most don’t turn into actual sessions. 90% of it is people wasting my time or trying to make me their girlfriend (recently got a guy banned for that lmao)

  • The blank profiles are always unsettling to me since we have a chronic problem on this site of people making new profiles to stalk others, bad actors hiding their identities, etc. There was literally a post today about a woman dealing with a dangerous, drugged out stalker who made a new blank profile on this site.

When there’s so much potential for danger, a filled out profile, even just a paragraph, and a photo really makes a client stand out to me. Like they want me to feel safe and they have nothing to hide. I get being shy, but you’re trying to ask someone to lay in a bed and hold you… I think the bare minimum is to try and make them feel safe by sharing a little about who you are, first.

  • @cuddlefaery and @bobadevotee that’s how I feel!
The blank profiles that are made within the month are the ones that give me pause.
I dealt with a blackmailer when I first started this. Apparently he knew me in my personal life and he kept making profiles and I’d report them. And the last one, he asked for 500 or else he’d tell people I knew what I was doing. Little did he know I’m not ashamed of this, so I ended up letting my friends and family know.

But it’s people like him with the new profiles and the blank pages that rub me the wrong way.

  • @sc1994 Since most guys probably cuddle through pros, and most pros don’t seem to filter out blank profiles, the vast majority of blank profiles is probably due to there not being a need to put this work in. I know that some professionals are more cautious and picky and good on them for being so, but it seems a good amount aren’t. If someone can just make a profile and immediately book with pros they will probably keep doing that

Most dudes who have a well written profile are probably also looking for enthusiast cuddles. Or perhaps it’s just carryover from putting work in from other digital social avenues (LinkedIn, forums, dating apps). These usually require some work before they get traction

  • @sunnysideup What's funny to me are the empty profiles that aren't looking for pros. I've been reading a lot of forum posts over the last several days and I'm amazed by the threads that are like "I don't see why I should have to pay a pro" but then they have a completely empty profile "for privacy". Then they are somehow shocked that enthusiast women aren't lined up at their door to cuddle with them.

For me personally, I'm not a huge fan of having my picture out on the open Internet and I generally limit it in all places (one photo on LinkedIn and a couple on Instagram), but I filled out my "about me" section and have photos of myself in the private album that I share with everyone I message on the first message I send them.

Hi, I am a true southern lady, raised on farms the whole nine yards, I moved to mass a few years ago. I am just now getting into the social aspects of city life, going to college, and cuddling when my soul needs it.

Reported and reviewed. Removed part of comment as it should be posted in the Pro Requests forum instead. [CharlieBear]

  • @Achterbahn those guys are probably going to give up soon

  • While I do like having my profile filled out and others who do as well, I can say maybe a few reasons for not doing so would be 1. The effort in putting it together (which is a shame), 2. Maybe people don't have the patience to read such a long profile and might find doing so tedious (something I've sometimes wondered about mine), and 3. Sometimes if you don't word something the right way, it could be taken as something offensive or non-platonic, so one might just be cautious and write less (or nothing).
Still filled-out profiles are always appreciated and preferred. I like to read about people and get to know them and I hope people read mine.
