Cuddling Etiquette?

[Deleted User]EdinburghGuy78 (deleted user)

We are all here for the basic reason that we relish human contact but as a relative newbie, is there a code of conduct to hugging? For example does the concept of 'spooning' take precedence over a straight-forward hug as time goes by? Does a difference in height matter? If you and a fellow cuddler were shoeless would that enhance the human connection or would you baulk at the prospect as your feet smell? Maybe it just middle-aged brain thats throwing out these trivial questions but who knows, perhaps others have harboured these questions?!

Read the Client FAQ. It's under the 'Contact' option then 'Book a Pro Cuddler'. That will give you some extra information. There is a Code of Conduct that you agree to when hiring a Pro but I've never been able to find it. Maybe it's only revealed when you go through the booking process - which I never have done. If you just Google 'Cuddling', you will find lots of information about what is generally acceptable or not acceptable in the cuddling community.

  • @EdinburghGuy78 The kinds of things you mentioned are for the people cuddling to figure out between themselves really, rather than something universal ... it's good to bring up with the other person if you're concerned though.

@UKGuy Are you thinking of the Client Service Agreement?

The rules from the perspective of a pro cuddler is this (as outlined in their contract):

    1. No sexual activity is permitted. You are not allowed to solicit for sex with the Client.

    2. Before meeting in person, the Client should read and agree to the ‘Client Service
Agreement’. The Client can express agreement online via our messaging system.

    3. Both parties will remain clothed the entire session. Undergarments do not constitute as
sufficient clothing. If either party needs to change clothing this will be done in private
and out of sight of the other party. If a Client shows off areas normally covered by
undergarments purposely, the Cuddler has the right to leave.

    4. No touching in areas covered by undergarments is permitted. If this occurs, the
Cuddler has the right to leave. No kissing is allowed.

    5. Cleanliness and adequate hygiene is required by both parties. This specifically includes
showering/teeth brushed within 12 hours of the appointment, wearing freshly
laundered clothing, and no (or minimal) perfume/cologne be worn by both parties
      unless requested.

You might want to read the client service agreement to get a better idea of what is expected from the client. The client service agreement can be found here: https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/media/contracts/CC_Client_Service_Agreement.pdf

I hope that this information helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • @EdinburghGuy78 - As others have mentioned, there is the CSA as far as what is permitted and what's not. Good communication between the two cuddlers is important so that each will have a good experience. The types of cuddle positions each of you likes can be discussed, as @respectful mentioned. Really, anything that concerns you at all about the cuddle, just talk about it with your cuddle companion. People have different preferences, and some are ticklish, so answers will be different with each person you cuddle.

Assuming you and your cuddler have showered recently, and you both had on clean socks when you started, I would think foot odor is unlikely. I'm always sockless in warm weather. I think touching bare feet is nice!
