Sadly since the internet became a thing we as people have cared less and less about others feelings since there is ability to hurt others without having to see the outcome.
I try so hard not to ghost people. It gets overwhelming sometimes, but I'll only ghost if I have a bad feeling about someone. Even then, I know I should just be upfront and say I'm not interested, or too busy.
I did reach out to another pro cuddler because she offers hot stone massage and hair braiding/playing with hair. It seemed like once she learned I was female, she lost interest and I never heard from her again. (Or maybe because I'm a pro cuddler too?) She questioned why I was willing to pay her prices when I should be able to easily find someone "more local" who offered the same. I explained that I didn't know of anyone in my area who offered both of those things. (And honestly, I don't mind driving nor was she THAT far away.) Maybe she got busy... I'm hoping that's all it is. I was super respectful and excited to have a true relaxing pampering experience.

I've been ghosted by a couple of clients who reached out, and two who actually booked. It's frustrating for sure.

I've been ghosted so much i built a plasma ghosting trap. I haven't used it yet though, i don't think i want them around if they ghosted me. But it's good to know i can demand attention if i wanted too.

I haven't been ghosted. I do get a lot of people who contact me saying they are going to schedule a cuddle session but can't commit to a date or keep rescheduling last minute making me believe they are just wanting to chat with me. This feels deceptive and is very agitating.
I believe if they scheduled a session and then don't show up and don't contact you it is called a no call no show.

@BoomerSpooner If someone really wanted to pursue No Deposits with their state attorney general, the AG could better advise if it's Bait and Switch or false advertising, which are violations of some state's consumer protection laws. But as a female enthusiast, I don't really have a dog in that fight.
@starrynitecuds Thats not my point at all. As I stated in an earlier post, I do not understand why the site even posts that at all. Gives the impression of working against the pros that use the site. Doesn’t make sense. As a client I can choose not to use a pro who charges a deposit or I can pay it. They must that under “Cuddle Therapy” which can be problematic as well.

Dental, yes. My dentist does an estimated bill with my insurance factored in and I have to pay 1/2 of my share when they call to confirm the appointment 2 days before. Remainder is due before I leave my appointment. They were tired of people leaving without paying. Collections is costly.
@BoomerSpooner I didn't see that. Thanks. I believe it is the site saying they don't take deposits through the site. I don't usually require a deposit either. I have asked for a deposit when I have to drive a long distance because I have been stood up before after driving 1.5 hours one way. If someone is constantly scheduling with me and canceling last min I don't try to charge them half of what the cuddle would be like the site recommends but after they do it to me twice I let them know I will need them to pay a $50 deposit to schedule again. I believe that is fair. What is everyone's thoughts on that. Has anyone ever been asked to pay a deposit to a pro cuddler and then she/ he ghost them? I am sure that is the main concern with paying a deposit.
@jplemmon Yikes I'm sorry. I must have overlooked your message. I have been very busy here lately. I will say that I am more attentive to those who are actually booking cuddle sessions. I try my best to always respond to everyone who messages me eventually even those who are just wanting to chat.

Yes twice. Both were from 18 year-olds with fish pics on their profiles, who specialized in cuddling on planes, who loved older men over 60, who loved talking about their poops and who wanted to meet at a truck stop to cuddle.
I guess I missed the red flags.

Deposits for dental, restaurants is definitely a thing where I am. Medical probably yes if you use private.
Thoughts on deposits generally... Charge it if you want. I don't have an issue with it because I'll make a judgement on whether it is reasonable or not. I know what I would accept and what I wouldn't and it depends on the hourly rate and percentage take.
