Cuddling at truck stops?

A friend of mine has been on the road as a trucker for a few years. He often mentions how lonely it can get. Does anyone have any experience cuddling at truck stops? If so, how was it? or if this is even something a cuddler would be comfortable with? I wanted to see what people thought before mentioning CC to him. He does go through major towns at times so I hope this might be an option for him. Thank you!

    I'm a long haul trucker, and I gotta tell you, the move is to get a hotel room.

    Beds in a semi are xl twin size, not very good for cuddling. Most cuddlers really don't feel comfortable coming to cuddle in a truck either. Always find the need to reassure them that the cuddle will be at a hotel when I tell them I'm a trucker.

    Knowing what little I do about truck stops, I would be pretty worried about expectations for nonplatonic activities, as a woman.

    @Cuddle_RN Yeah that was one of the reasons why I didn't think cuddlers would do it. Hotel does sound like the thing for him if he does want to try cuddling.

    If any of my female cuddler friends told me they were meeting a cuddle client at a truck stop, I'd do my level best to dissuade them. Maybe I've just heard one too many trucker/truck stop stories.

    I know a couple of women who coincidentally drive trucks and spend a fair share of their time at truck stops. I'd cuddle them in a heartbeat regardless of location . However , I can see the flip side where a woman might be reluctant to meet an interwebs stranger for truck cuddles.

    I personally would not. I also will not cuddle in cars. There are too many ways for that to go wrong quickly.

    Depending on the location, it's better to avoid truck stops, but there are some motels/hotels that do offer tractor-trailer (18-wheeler) parking. Parking availability for the mandatory 10hr. break is the primary consideration for drivers as to where to park.

    If you must meet at a truck stop, choose a major national chain such as Love's, Pilot, Flying J, TA/Petro. These chains generally have cleaner, more modern facilities, better lighting, and have made efforts to keep away the riff raff: prostitutes, gang bangers, and traffickers.

    Those smaller, independent "mom & pop" trucks stops don't monitor their premises as well.

    Note that there is no tractor-trailer parking allowed at Buc-ee's. Only the fuel trucks are allowed on the premises.

    @wilderdude Can you talk a little more about how you set it up? Did you wait until you could park at a hotel or leave the truck at the stop and taxi/uber to the hotel? I have heard about break-ins at truck stops and wonder if it was common enough not to want to leave the truck there unattended.

    @alexloveshugs I reach out to a cuddler usually a few days before I arrive in a city. After I deliver a load or sometimes before I'll look for a hotel that has a spot nearby I can park at. Often, especially in the Dallas area, I just Uber from the truck stop to the hotel, usually isn't that far.

    Break ins at major truck stops not a huge concern, they are monitored by security usually and have cameras. Worst I've had happen was fuel stolen, and that happened with me asleep in the truck lol

    You definitely do NOT want to leave a truck unattended at a retail lot like Walmart etc or a movie theater, mall etc. Likelihood of it being towed for trespass are high lol. That happens and your cuddle session just ballooned up to several thousand dollars

    @wilderdude Thank you so much for the info! Next time he mentions being lonely...I might bring up CC. Cuddling has helped me quite a bit, these last few months. I bet it would be great for him too. =)

    An option for a trucker would also be a public cuddle, in a restaurant or somewhere else public. :)

    My father was a trucker and so I grew up around truckers and stops, learned early the duality of the community's protective nature as well as the potential for danger. While most truckers I would cuddle with in a heartbeat after a public meet at a stop, there's always the exceptions.

    I have met up with and cuddled in cabs in the past, but I'm extremely picky on the where, who, and how of it and have the lifetime of experiences to inform my gut instincts. I absolutely would NOT recommend meeting a trucker to cuddle in their cab for any woman. Most truck stops have hotels that are relatively inexpensive, and many of them have day use options as well specifically because of truckers schedules. Never mind the fact that many trucking companies will compensate their drivers for the occasional hotel stay, and even if they don't it's tax deductible while OTR.

    Trucking, especially long haul, can be incredibly lonely and it's perfectly natural for them to seek out companionship. In the past it's largely been SWers and dating sites, but I could see cuddling becoming increasingly popular for them as it becomes more well-known. Women just need to be careful with vetting and safety practices, as always.

    As for whether cuddling in a truck at a stop is something I would do...I certainly would if I had already met with, and trusted, the cuddler. But I never get into a vehicle with someone at first meeting...especially not one with a closed interior like a truck cab with a bed.

    I agree with @SunsetSnuggles that I would need to have met and built trust with them before I would cuddle in a truck cab.

    I would much rather cuddle in a public location or a hotel.

    In my experience, while most truck stops are within close proximity of hotels (Motel 6, La Quinta, Holiday Inn Express, etc.), I've not seen one that has a hotel as part of the truck stop itself. Perhaps there are.

    Most truck stops have private shower facilities that drivers can reserve for an hour. Typically they are free with a minimal purchase of diesel. But as far as sleeping quarters, most OTR drivers will sleep in the sleeper berth of the cab.

    @TxTom the pilot/49er truck stop in Sacramento has a motel attached to the building that is owned by the truck stop owner. The Petro in sparks nv has a hotel that is owned by the truck stop. It's not unheard of.

    In my beginning stages of cuddling I had a reoccurring client from here who is a trucker and we cuddled in his truck. He was very nice and would message me anytime he thought he may wind up in my city. I talked to him on here for a long time before feeling comfortable with it but i would always feel so awkward walking back to my car wondering how many people thought i was a lot lizard lol that being said under the right circumstances i may do it again or be willing to pick my client up to bring him to my house to cuddle depending on the length of the drive. It's always worth trying.

    @KariMeiSnuggles Ironic that you offer a needed platonic service and you are reluctant to do it at a location because of the perception that you might be a SW. Sad that people do that but you are right. You could flip the script and view it as you are an agent for change—a pioneer of sorts. Which makes you brave. Be proud of offering this service and to hell with those who have to classify people based on stereotypes.

    I will likely pass on cuddling within a trucker's semi due to the space limitations. But I can see myself enjoying cuddling in the back of a pick up truck, laying on blankets/pillows conversing while gazing up at stars🌠🌠 in the nighttime or the daytime.☀️😁

    I can see myself enjoying with a cuddler who owns a pick up truck with a big roomy back end for the 2 of us to get comfy (sadly I don't own a pick up truck...So!😔). Yeah this, I can definitely dig it!😁👍

    Hell nah. Things can sideways in minutes. We already have to deal with men running up and trying to force themselves into our cars when we’re just loading up groceries at the store (true story). I’m not going to be in a vehicle of any sort with anyone, where they can quickly lock me in or start driving off.

    I am shocked how few people realize how fast these things happen. You absolutely won’t have time to react. The best solution is to not put yourself in a high risk situation.

    My spouse is a truck driver. While there is great men and women who drive trucks there is ALOT more “creeps”. If I was to do a session I would for sure bring a buddy to wait on me and get all information you can. Also unfortunately a lot of truckers (NOT ALL OF THEM) are not clean nor keep their truck clean.

    And it's okay to admit: most truckers are slobs. It's why Buc--ee's forbids them from parking there.

    I've often wondered, how is it that truck drivers possess the knowledge to operate an 18-wheeler, yet they don't know how to flush a toilet?

    (And I'm a 2-year OTR and 8-year local fuel delivery.)
