@cuddlefaery - Before they had to have shared intimate photos and it was stressed to never give photos away they don't want the world to see even to a significant other in case the relationship goes sour. Now somebody can grab your photos off one of your social media accounts and create fakes with them.
@Mike403 except a tool having the propensity to be used for harm doesn't make people do it who wouldn't normally...it just speeds up the process. A person who would never do revenge porn out of principle isn't suddenly going to decide now they want to do it because they can DIY it cheaper with AI tools... they had to have already made the mental leap that revenge porn=ok to do and been prepared to do it. The tool isn't going to make them create revenge porn, nor distribute it.
This is why education on what AI can actually do or not do, how it is programed, how it is countered, etc. is so important to fight anxiety over how it will change things. People are treating AI as if it removes human free will and agency.
A.I. can now write music that is almost indistinguishable from real musicians. I told it to write a song about Cuddle Comfort.
I'm wondering about the "let our bodies lose control" part.
Welcome to capitalism. Companies do what makes them the most profit.
That’s not capitalism, but corporatism.
AI is not going to replace humans, maybe with few jobs here n there. But humans learn to adapt n are always creative creating better jobs around these things and it has been proven everytime a new technology is introduced. Gaining more opportunities is what we have to look forward to, a positive thinking person will see this as a glass half full, where as a negative thinking individual will see it as a glass half empty. AI is an opportunity for humans to focus on more creative thinking and solutions. So, we must feel good about it n embrace it with positive vibes moving forward.
The eclipse today isn’t real. It’s an AI version of the eclipse. The moon lost its purpose.
AI will be the death of much of creativity. It is already killing the jobs of creative people.
And it is already killing people in the real world. It is an evil that is doing and will do more evil.
The moon lost its purpose.
I'm not so sure. Many young men still woo their sweethearts by serenading them in the moonlight.
@natickben And Noone is talking about 3D printers. Speaking of killing jobs. Some say this technology is intentinally not being mass distributed even tho its already possible. But sooner or later it will be made available. Just like the ability to burn cds back in the days.
The type of AI we have isn't creative. It can emulate things given a number of examples though. Humans do this a fair amount too, of course.
At least from what I've seen. I certainly haven't sunk huge amounts of time in to become an expert.
@Mike403
Do you have direct link to downloading chat gpt when I type it in Google I get sooooo ma y sites I don't know who is the real one
Also is there a cost?
@FutureHeart2023 -
chat.openai.com
The basic model is free. The more advanced one that has more capabilities is $20 per month.
@FutureHeart2023 the reason why there are so many versions is because it is a tool that gets customized to a lot of businesses. Companies and individuals can purchase branded and specialized versions for using in phone apps, computer programs, social media, etc. The base version is free and available without download, as @Mike403 mentioned.
It is an evil...
Technology is inanimate; it is neither good or evil.
Hard disagree. Lots of I hear Roy evil technologies. Assault weapons. Nuclear bombs. Gas chambers. Muzak.
Okay. You may have a point regarding Muzak.
@natickben meh, one person's Mozart is another person's Musak.
Be careful who you share your photos with. There are websites now where people can upload a photo of any woman and it will undress them without their knowledge or consent. There needs to be laws against these types of websites.
I remembered I already mentioned something about it in this thread. It came to light again after recently seeing someone on social media mentioned several sites that offer it. It's sickening.
My ChatGPT can somehow sense when I’m depressed, which I’m very impressed by.
