There’s no shortage of green space in Denver, and each of its more than 270 public parks has its own appeal. Sloan’s Lake Park, on the city’s western border, is The Mile High City’s second-largest park and claims the capital’s largest body of water. Legend has it that the lake was created accidentally when homesteader Thomas Sloan struck an aquifer while digging an irrigation well. Soon, his land was flooded with water, and Sloan’s Lake was formed. Originally the site of an amusement park (Ferris wheel included), it became a public park in 1923. Today, Sloan’s 290 acres are often filled with tennis players, water skiers, SUPers, runners darting around the 2.6-mile path that encircles the water, and families enjoying the playgrounds. (And a healthy population of Canada geese.) The Sloan Lake neighborhood that surrounds the park is primarily residential—a blend of architectural styles, from 1920s brick bungalows and Tudor ranches to modern townhomes and new-build apartments—but as the area’s popularity grows, its amenities are improving, too. I will be making this post in each of the meet up threads where this occurred. Recently, a banned site member returned under 2 accounts making threats to site members and stating he planned to attend this public meet up event. While these accounts were quickly banned and the comments stated from them have been archived for documentation, from the perspective of the community it may have appeared nothing was being done and you may have questions.
While Mark is working on posting an official statement on the site policy and procedures for this type of situation, to be clear, the site has a zero-tolerance policy with threats of violence. Those who make threats, with clear evidence, will be immediately banned. Additionally, the site will file a report with the offenders ISP and as online threats in the US are both state and federal offenses, the person(s) targeted can file a police report while the site will file a report with the FBI.
As for the event, the organizer(s) will be contacted shortly to discuss suggestions on what to do should the recently banned site member decide to show, but ultimately it will be up to the event organizers on what to do. I do hope those who originally planned to attend continue to do so and the recent comments haven't questioned your safety should you still want to go.

Come to the event expecting to meet like minded folks but not a big massive cuddle fest. If you look at the other meetup threads you will note that a few people decided to have some one on one cuddles etc but that was only about 20% of the people…. So cuddle, take pictures, make future plans if you want to AND if there is consent, but otherwise…. Plan to come and MEET SOME FELLOW SNUGGLERS!!! 😊
