Just want to know , how soon is to soon to reach out to someone new in your area. I know it took me a few days to figure out this site, just wondering what a women's perspective on this.
My guess is, if it's anything like other forums I have been on, if it's a new female member she will get buried in messages by day two.
I would slip in there as fast as you can, to be honest, because yes, new female enthusiasts can get slammed with messages and their accounts will actually be throttled, temporarily limiting further users from messaging them. This is in place to keep us from being overwhelmed, but also takes away our ability to choose.
The earlier you message, the better chance you have of building a connection before a new user gets overwhelmed. However, the content and tone of your message is the most important thing. Be friendly, respectful, and platonic, just like you are here on the board, and you'll be way ahead of the pack.

Just, I believe the tone is very critical. Avoid any discussion of anything that can be seen as non-platonic. Any discussion around private areas can only generate angst and bad feelings. Spread platonic love to all.

@SunsetSnuggles Agree with what she said. I'd like to add two things: be respectful, and don't expect a response or a response on your timeline (respect their boundaries and what they have going on in their lives). Basically, behave as if your mother trained you right.
