I have visited a traveling pro's profile more than once, beginning of the year and recently when they will be in my city again, and each time, they initiated the 'hello' and I asked confirming questions on availability and total pricing. I was given a very broad availability "my schedule is wide open for Saturday". I believe I paced myself on the amount of questions without sending a ton in one message. The booking page is worded, "send a booking proposal". I usually prefer to confirm a date/time before initiating or hitting that booking button. I have had mixed experiences where I would then send that invite, pro would send that invite, a pro would miss my date/time question till super last minute, or some pros profiles would say "send a booking request as I miss message notifications...".
Well, I sent a booking proposal ~25 hrs in advance, and pro has not sent any acknowledgements or declines. With less than 4 hrs before the proposed start time, I checked out the "Cancel" button for the first time, and the website wording seems like I could be responsible for some fees after the 12 hrs mark. Can I cancel my initiated proposal without getting charged or owe the pro anything, seeing as they have not approved my proposal? Like the receiving end, I also respect my time and want to plan accordingly and not wait for an outcome as the clock runs out. I'm still trying to understand this website and everyone's preferences.
