What are some movies in your "Top 20" list?

"I was just sitting around drinking, and a thought has popped into my head - if a man can't drink when he's living, how the hell can he drink when he's dead?"

For some odd reason, i just remembered that rhyme that our neighbor used to say when I was a little kid. Anyways, was curious to know what movies some of you would include in your "top 20" list . . . like, if you had to pick a small box of bluray discs that would be the only movies you could watch for a whole year, what movies might you include?

Mine would include, in no particular order of importance:

Jaws
My Cousin Vinny
With Honors (another Joe Pesci movie)
Star Wars (the original one that started it all)
Driving Miss Daisy
Glory
Forrest Gump
Princess Bride
Fried Green Tomatoes
Ghostbusters
Shawshank Redemption
Saving Private Ryan

Have a few more floating in my head, but that's probably enough for everyone to chew on (and wonder how screwed up the inside of my head is lol). What are some of your favorites?

    My other favorite movies is basically almost any marvel movie or the greatest showman. I have a few other favorite movies, but those are solid

    Some of these leave the list, some return, some never return. Sometimes a new film will come out and shoot straight up the list. Sometimes I'll even forget a film from years ago and re-introduce it. The order does change, but the top five or ten are pretty consistent.

    The Fifth Element, Bitter Lake, Atomic Blonde, Lucy, Heat, District 9, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Ronin, Hamburger Hill, Bullet Train, The Departed, These Final Hours, Threads, The Raid, Haute Tension (Switchblade Romance), The Day of the Jackal, Dunkirk, The Truman Show, Bat 21, The Green Book, Mission to Mars, Top Gun: Maverick. (Ace Combat the movie)

    Someone will mention a film in their list, which I know I'll wish I would have included in mine. Or I'll remember them later and lose the ability to edit the list. 🤣 Edits: Children of Men, The Adjustment Bureau, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. AND: West Side Story. AND AND: Mississippi Burning.     Movies are always so interesting to me because I feel like everyone of my favorites movies is kind of like a guilty pleasure movie or comfort movie. Movies tend to be very nostalgic for me or take me to a place where I can escape the stresses in life. So I don't tend to value "cool" or "intellectual" movies as much.

    My friends always enjoy that quirky nature about me, finding it amusing but not in a bad way, more in a unique and endearing way. I feel like I have kind of a weird, personal list. Though I guess everyone can say that in their own way.
