@single34 That sounds interesting. Are they pills you take with each meal?

I want to start walking everyday. And also swimming when I can. I find that a combination of walking daily and swimming a few times a week usually helps me to lose weight. :)

I definitely need to after eating a little too much over the holidays. Lol

  • I might've studied and worked in the field

The biggest issue is diet. So 60% diet & 40% exercise.

The best way to find out your own situation is by having a dexa scan which will tell you how many calories YOU have to consume to maintain the current weight (never cut more than 300 calories from your diet bc you could get sick)

The dexa scan will tell you where you're at on visceral fat. That which causes heart disease ? that's related to our diet. It takes a while to get to a healthy number, but staying below 7 will in fact improve the quality of life when we're old
    ????lol

Having a high number on visceral fat score isn't visible on individuals, some look slender. Sometimes we hear about someone looking healthy and dying abruptly. This goes to my next point. If the number is too high, it is dangerous to be doing anything that could be intense.

    Know that
    1. Muscle weights more than fat
    2. Fat occupies more space than muscle

So you can be 140 lbs and a size 6 or 110 lbs and a size 6. I know, it makes no sense, but that's true.

    We need more muscle

    That keeps us healthier

If you insist on losing weight know that everyone has different ideas and they're all wrong. Science doesn't lie

Microwaving food removes nutrients from your food

Packaged food is treated with preservatives=calories you're not going to burn easily (try keeping a loaf of bread and in a year it will still look good and feel soft)

Eat more things that are raw and home cooked

    Eat smaller portions

Move around, even it's hula hoop during a break or jump rope at lunch and breath out

    Don't feel discouraged

Stay positive and take it one day at time

    ?
