Planning a trip to NY for a week or so it will be my first time there! What are some fun things to do? Any restaurant recommendations?
Brooklyn mirage is about the dopest venue to see a concert at. Get a slice of pizza almost anywhere. Idk I'll think of more lol
Take the ferry from Manhattan to Staten Island, then come straight back again. See the Statue of Liberty and all the sights of the harbour, without the hassle or expense.
The ferry sounds fun!
Without having any idea what type of food OR 'budget' here are some of my fav's for dinner: 1) Grammercy Park Tavern 2) Union Square Cafe 3) Babo 4) Gotham Grill
Soooooooooo many things/places to explore on a first trip, but have a terrific time
Have a real bagel.
Go see a baseball game, take a nice long walk in Central Park , go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Natural History Museum, explore. Chinatown and have some yummy food. Check out Mercer Labs.
I agree with @CuddleDuncan about seeing the Statue of Liberty and @Ironman294 about Chinatown, the Met, and the Natural History museum. I haven't been to NYC in many years, but as I remember I loved the dinosaur exhibits and how it took an entire day to go through the place.
I liked the apatosaurus, how big just the skeleton was and imagining how it would looked, sounded, and smelled when it was alive. I also liked how they had a scaffold you could walk on to see the apatosaurus better. The T-Rex was also impressive. Also remember that I liked seeing the dunkleosteus display--I have a particular interest in the Devonian period. As a child, I remember writing a silly, little story about talking fishes set in the Devonian, which I learned about from some library books.
