Sleepy vs Hungry

You're feeling both, and for argument's sake...we'll say same level. Which do you do first? Or are you like those little babies with their eyes closed holding a cheerio in each hand? Attempt to both simultaneously?

  • Sleep. I can sleep on an empty stomach while eating then sleeping is a sure fire way to gain weight.

@TheFunCartel I have mastered this weight gain system! Difficult for me to fall asleep if my stomach is growling.

@Morpheus Same, but has to be something that doesn't take effort...like a Hot Pocket or Pop Tart or something of the sort.

  • As someone who has a hard time sleeping I often will have something small before bed. I try to reduce the number of things interfering with falling asleep.

It depends how tired I am though. Last night I slept quite quickly despite being hungry because my tiredness overpowered the hunger and I didn't have any strong additional factors getting in the way.

  • Eat a bowl of oatmeal (old fashioned or one minute, not in packs with sugar already added) with just a little sugar, and it puts me right to sleep.

  • My go-to quick snack, which is fairly healthy, is a handful of Cheerios and some blueberries. (Not in a bowl with milk) it takes care of hunger and I fall asleep, not over-full.
I eat that during the day too sometimes if I don’t want a meal.

  • It depends on how hungry/tired I am honestly 🤔 If I'm a bit hungry and a bit sleepy I'll probably just get comfy and doze off, but if I'm really hungry and really sleepy I know food has to win or I'll be miserable all night 😂

  • Drink a nice cold glass of water and see how you feel. And lay down on the bed and just close your eyes for a minute.

  • Sleeeeep

  • Eat, get the itus and pass out. Oh well. Time for ozempic for me

  • I sleep 6 hours a night. Deep solid sleep and never wake up which might be bad when my Ring alarm tells me someone has entered my home. I rarely eat just before sleep.......now late night espresso martinis? Yes please. Hmmm no wonder I sleep so well :)

@KnightlyCuddles ...and here my roommate is taking melatonin. I should tell him about those espresso martinis.

  • I actually had this drama..., can't spell delema so drama will have to do lol, last night and I chose to sleep lol.

  • @FriendlyFemale

    Bows slowly …. And smiles

  • Sleep wins every time. Then when I wake up, I cannot understand why I am so hungry.

  • I usually sleep 5 1/2 hours a night so there is lots of time to grab a bowl of blueberries and savor their taste then fall into a deep sleep.
