Age liars

I find it fascinating to get to know people of varied ages and interests. Sometimes it's more interesting and intellectually stimulating than talking to someone who's on the same page as me, even.

I think it's natural for humans to seek common ground, but it can be found anywhere...my 75-year-old cuddle friend and I both loved cuddling, nature, exploring the city, and good food. We never struggled to connect or find things to talk about, even though on a surface level, one might think we wouldn't relate to one another.

  • Unless itโ€™s a personal relationship, why is it any of your business?

  • One reason people may do it is to avoid age discrimination.

  • A woman's exact age is none of my business. If she looks a little older when we meet than she did in her photos, that's fine, as long as it's clearly the same person.

I have no problem being turned down due to generational gaps/"age discrimination." Women are free to choose whom they're comfortable cuddling with without any explanation. I'm not offended by this. I'm not owed an explanation.

  • I think it's odd but also non threatening so don't really think about it.

So far, at least from my experience, it mostly because they are just trying to fill up info quickly to check out the site and they never fix it ๐Ÿ˜† (from what I've been told)

I've been asked if I am younger a few times in sessions, no just that +10 in melanin lol

Fudging your age is on the same level as applying heavy make up and using filters-it comes with the territory (lol)

  • @JoshuaC_28
Doesn't come with my territory. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Age doesn't matter to me for cuddling, either when I was an enthusiast and now as a pro.

If someone doesn't want to cuddle because of my age, that's cool. Everyone is entitled to their preferences. Their loss though! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™‚

As for me, I am similar to @SunsetSnuggles in that I find I enjoy talking to just about anyone regardless of age.

  • I've been lying about my age for a little over a year now. Not on the site but if you ask me I'm going to give an answer that's easier to say, a good round number indicating a relative range. I think i got tired of calculating in my head because i never really remember and have to do some calculations. I usually think I'm amazed at how many old people i went to grade school and high school with, like wow. Some people who choose to lie really aren't being realistic and everyone is in on a joke they are missing. But if your 60 and say your 40 and it's convincing to me, your 40 in my mind. So for a person on here, it doesn't matter as long as everyone is the age of majority.

  • Many years ago my Mom genuinely forgot how old she was. So she thought and told people for like 3 years that she was the same age. Hilarity ensued when she thought we we wrong at her birthday. Simple math showed we were right. ๐Ÿคฃ

Other than cyber security times, the only times I recall blatantly lying about my age was in college before I was 21.

These are my opinions (weโ€™ve all got one): Itโ€™s lying, and I donโ€™t think itโ€™s right. Why does someone want to cuddle/be in an intimate space with someone who would be judgey of them anyway?

People have age preferences for a reason. Iโ€™m sure that they know they are still capable of forming connections with people outside of their range, but put a filter to narrow their search. Lying to pass those preferences seems a bit scammy, whether it is a male enthusiast trying to be more appealing to younger female cuddlers or a female pro trying to get more customers.

I think that fudging your age/birthday by a couple years or so for anonymity reasons is different and more okay.

@Sheena123 thatโ€™s new to me; but fudging by 10-15 years to avoid fetishists and to keep things platonic is within the spirit of CC and is more okay to me

I suppose it would be nice if CC had an option to leave the age blurb in profiles blank, for those who prefer not to share it (assuming CC is only allowing adults to register)

To answer your question @natickben If I found out they were lying about their age I would be much more likely to pass up on them. Whether is a man or a woman itโ€™s wrong, though there are some reasons that make it okay in my opinion (see above).

  • I donโ€™t have my actual age listed although itโ€™s only a few years off. Iโ€™m not doing it to be deceitful I just donโ€™t want too much personal information available to whoever Iโ€™ve come across a lot of online stalkers.

Am I imagining it, or does everyone claiming a need for security or anonymity make their age younger (never older) and by more than a year? Hmm.

My experience is that, despite Pros claiming they see everyone, they don't see retiree age men

A few years makes no difference to me. I don't feel catfished until photos are 5+ years out of date. I always wonder why bother since this isn't a dating or hookup site.

Pro's are required to be accepting of all ages. If you believe you're experiencing age discrimination, report it.

  • @SunsetSnuggles None have been dumb enough to put it in writing. They simply ignore you.

  • @LionsFan
It's not unheard of for Pro's to fail to respond. The general impression is that Pro's should be a guaranteed thing, but from what I've read here on the board, that's not necessarily the case. All I can offer is to make sure you're contacting active users.

Other than that, I wish you the best of luck, and will reiterate that age means nothing to me...I hope you meet other such women, along with those in your Karma. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Depending on the pro, where she is, and if this is just a side gig for her, she might well have so many messages that she can't get to all of them. Usually better to consider other possible reasons before deciding on discrimination.

  • @LionsFan You are not wrong. I have actually had pros say they have certain limits on age whether it be below 30 or above 60. They tell me this in private. How they carry it out is not responding and it is difficult to prove, achieves very little, and the best thing to do is find someone that fits you..

There are people on here who refuse to cuddle people of certain ages thatโ€™s probably why people are lying. Iโ€™ve seen quite a few people put โ€œwill only cuddle between 21-30 โ€œetc . So itโ€™s no surprise people are going to lie so they donโ€™t get excluded

I used to round down quite a bit because I found out a coworker was on here and I feared ageism at work.

But for some time, I have listed my age as 100. More people seem to actually read my profile, now. And I am getting more cuddles these days - (perhaps as a result).

As a social experiment, I invite others to try something similar.

    @LionsFan

  • @SunsetSnuggles Yes, I never contact anyone who hasn't logged on in the past week.or so. I also message first with pictures rather than just try to book as a cold call.

My Karma is a poor reflection of my activity level. I rarely leave any and never ask for any.

I cuddle all ages as long as they are legal.
I've cuddled someone in their 70s before.

I've got told before that my age can't be right and I look younger. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Age...who knew it would be a hot button topic. I may have just changed my mind in some small way. This is my take home so far.
    1. Internet Safety...hmm I didn't even think of that. I should have at least fibbed.
    2. The various pictures saying one thing while the meet up says another, so common.. I met a guy who appeared like a somewhat clean cut jock in his pictures. In person he had a really long mowhawk, tats and piercings. We played a board game and I thought it was a go. Nope. I was not what he expected. But really I find progressions interesting. People are looking for representation so photos often span quite a bit of time. So...boo to filters yay to lots of photos new and old.
    3. My personal past mean anyone who appears under 40 is a no and if a younger cuddle partner lied about their age and I figured it out I would not be happy. I work with people from 23-75. I value every one of them and have no ageism in my professional or personal life. I rather treasure all those different perspectives. But cuddling is completely different for me.

Edit! SnapChat filters are fun so maybe I should say at least one current unfiltered photo should be in the mix. Then please have some ears or a super long rainbow tongue. People can be way to serious.

  • It shouldn't bother anyone if they find themselves outside the preferred age of someone else.

Everyone has preferences; everyone has sovereignty.

    This includes Pros.

  • @TxTom
Except it doesn't include Pro's. They all agreed to the following requirements, which means any preferences need to be able to be set aside, to avoid discrimination:

  • Like so many things that are treated as Uber important on this site for no real
    Discernable reason , who cares

  • who cares

I agree. If they lied about their age it does not change my world one iota. A lot of overly judgey people going on about the lying. Everyone has lied in some way and the truth is a matter of perspective. This lie means nothing compared to someone saying โ€œI am not going to kill youโ€ and their statement is a lie.

  • @SunsetSnuggles
Yes, I understand the site has requirements of Pros.

But all that does is require Pros to find a work-around (i.e., not returning messages of undesirable clients, citing scheduling conflicts for undesirable clients, et al.) So why force requirements onto Pros?

Is a 20-year old female Pro not allowed to be uncomfortable cuddling a 53-year old male, lest her pro status be taken away?

  • @TxTom
I believe those particular requirements are a legal thing.
