I guess my post was worded poorly. I was trying to not step on anyone's toes here, and put things into me and my statements rather than talk about anyone else.
My point is that if I reject things in this life, I hurt myself more than the person I'm rejecting. Specifically I was saying that I could reject the pro who rejected me for my age, but if I did that, I'd be the one paying the price. Not her. So I try and not do that.
@brilliam No harm no foul as far as I am concerned. But I agree with you.
@g_w_t_w Damn you Scarlet, I had you pegged for 29.
My response is a little late but Yes, people do lie to gain favor all the time, but I believe deceit like lying about one’s age should be discouraged when possible. I don’t think I’m going to change the world but it’s just my opinion on the right course of action
Maturity is more important than chronological age in my opinion. I had to learn not to dismiss much younger men. I am more open to them than I was initially. That is only having experiences with a man who carried himself in a way that was considerate, kind , respectful and responsible.
If you see anyone walking around with their pants on fire!!! Well now we know why...
@FunCartel_ 29 is/was my favorite age, I lived in Paris when I was 29. When I came back to the US I was teaching illustration/design/graphics at a small college. I had a very busy life doing exciting things. Out in the world and experiencing it. I always feel bad for people who married at 21 and 40 years later are in the same place doing the same boring things without ever having gone anywhere. I am ageless because of how I’ve lived my Life. Positive thinking, choosing to be happy and using sunscreen, no makeup. I had the free spirit rebellious nature against convention. This is why putting a number of birthdays I’ve actually had wouldn’t describe me at all. Honestly anyone who is rigid, judgemental about things they haven’t lived would be difficult for me to be around for very long. There seems to be a lot of daily misery on this forum. I read it to learn about people. My advice to you all from one of the oldest people here, make a point to open your mind, and decide to learn something from what you read. And go somewhere. Seriously.
I read this on a professional's description the other day. She was brand new, only one picture and no karma.
"I work with afab, amab, and cis people of all ages, gender identities, and sexual orientations. However, for my own safety while working with cis gender straight men, I require that they are under the age of 35 and are willing to undergo a background check."
Talk about contradicting herself.
@Ihavenoidea2 Considering the number of men on here who don't even want to show ID, can't see too many agreeing to background checks.
