Do You Listen To Music While You Cuddle?

[Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

I think that listening to music while cuddling can be very relaxing. :)

I'm a big fan of ASMR and Frisson. ASMR is soothing sounds that help you to fall asleep. Frisson is music with calming sounds that are soothing to listen to. I thought it might be relaxing to cuddle while listening to ASMR and Frisson as well. :)

But how about you guys? Do you like listening to music while you cuddle? I am curious to know. :)

Not personally. I am more of a movie/t.v. cuddler type. :)

  • Not really, I like to converse and possibly nap a bit. :)

Though a distant, relaxing music is nice occasionally. Similarly with TV/Movies. :)

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@lilredmage It's fun to watch movies, shows, and other entertainment while cuddling as well. :)

@Lovelight It's always good to have a nice chat while cuddling. And even taking a bit of a rest while cuddling can be pretty awesome as well.

I like background music while I cuddle. And it is also nice to watch TV, movies, or other entertainment while cuddling. :)

  • my favorite to listen to is Lynx's album "On The Horizon", its my all time fave and I find it so relaxing!

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@abruder808 I've never listened to Lynx before but they sound awesome. :) Do they have a YouTube channel? I would love to check them out.

I do. I like listening to soft music. I don't like rap or songs with explicit lyrics or hardcore dubstep

  • I like some Dubstep! XD

Birds and waterfalls are nice too! :)

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@GameStriker4481 Sothing music always goes great with cuddles. :)

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@Lovelight Nature sounds are very relaxing. XD They always make me want to go camping again.

  • Death metal and gangsta rap all the way

  • Yes I listen to new age music calm music

  • If I am really wanting to create a tranquil atmosphere, then I go for the big guns and break out the Weird Al Yankovic

  • I like classical music. Good conversation starter and can usually find some common ground to chat. Or listen!

Just don’t play Mozart #40, could be distracting.

  • I've never cuddled anyone so I don't know about that but I have a collection of CDs I use when giving massages. The favorite is "Mozart for Massage". I also have one called "Romantic Adagios" which is very good. Some others are "Sunset for Two", "Peaceful Ocean Surf", "Ocean Music" and "Gentle Rain". Someone mentioned bird sounds, I'd love to get a CD of the Mockingbird singing:

@pmvines I'm actually a huge fan of metal. XD I also like rap but I am more of a fan or the rap and hip hop from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. There is some rap I still like today. I just think a lot of the stuff that came out of the golden age of rap/ hip hop was a lot better. I am also a HUGE fan on of Weird Al and Doctor Demento. XD

@single34 I like New Age music. :) Some of my favorite New Age artists are Enya, Enigma, ERA, and Gregorian.

  • @MoonlightSonata Hey I was just being silly but if you are down for some cuddle metal bring it on, yo! I got a massage not too long ago from an individual who worked from home. She likes hip hop and I abhor the crap they have these days so we compromised on Del the Funky Homosapien, which made me feel nostalgic lol

@mikehugs Classical music is always very soothing. Unless you are listening to an upbeat classical piece. Then things do get a bit distracting. Lol I love to listen to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra during the holidays as well.

@UKGuy The Mozart For Massage CD sounds really awesome. Can you find it online? I'd love to listen to some of the songs.

Nature sounds are always great. Sometimes I just open all of the windows and doors (putting the sliding screens in front to catch the bugs) and let the nature sounds roll in.

I love having music playing while cuddling. I have found through trial and error that jazz standards seems to be ok with most everyone.

I had one cuddler that I learned through conversation had similar musical tastes to me. So I put together a playlist with a heavy emphasis on Led Zeppelin. Best rock and roll band ever, but terrible music for cuddling.

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@poonie I've never tried rock and roll and metal while cuddling. But I imagine it might be a bit distracting even though the music is good. lol

I like Jazz too, especially piano jazz and smooth jazz.

@MoonlightSonata - the "Mozart for Massage" CD I found in a thrift store. It's put out by Philips Classic Productions 1997. It's a wonderful CD. There are currently several copies for sale on eBay. I may have to buy another, I'm in danger of wearing mine out!

@UKGuy I think someone uploaded some of the songs onto YouTube too. :)

I found a playlist for the CD I think.

    Is this it?

@MoonlightSonata: I'll check out your music suggestions when I'm just alone.
RadioTunes.com has a great Relaxation channel that plays beautiful celestial music. I listen to it most evenings. It'd be nice to have it on during a cuddle sometime, but as long as I'm paying pros, I'd rather not play any music as the time is so limited by my ability to pay.

  • edited May 2018

@MoonlightSonata - yes that is the one.

  • Ah, the truth is revealed. You really have to pay to play. Kinda defeats the purpose.

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@apvalerius I will have to look up the RadioTunes.com site. Thank you for suggesting it. :) I also listen to a lot of stuff on Pandora radio as well.

  • [Deleted User]MoonlightSonata (deleted user)

@UKGuy Cool! I saved the playlist so I can listen to the songs. :)

  • @MoonlightSonata , @UKGuy & everyone:
If you like "Mozart For Massage", check out "Mozart At Midnight" and "Mozart For Meditation". They were part of a series from Philips. You can find other composers with similar titles, like "Debussy For Daydreaming", "Bach At Bedtime", etc.
