Politics has devolved to an unwatchable level of personal attacks that everyone should be repulsed by. It is extremely unhealthy to have anger at someone who simply has an opposing view
100% agree. I gave up cable news years ago for that exact reason. Both sides basically shouting over each other and doing a disservice to the public by offering up easily demolished straw man arguments for the other side rather than seriously debating the best arguments for both sides.
Another common issue that always bugged me about FoxNews was when they would bring on “military experts” (former Congressmen, Senators, Cabinet Secretaries, and Generals) to explain why the U.S. should get involved in another war. They were ALWAYS introduced by their past title such as “former Secretary of Defense” rather than their current title, “Member of the Board of Directors at Raytheon” or some other defense contractor who will make billions from the U.S. getting into another war.
