Karma linked to Payments Obligation?

Ran into a wierd situation.

I had a session with a pro end of last year (2023). Booking was made through the site, per guidelines.

I have not been big on karma in the past - never have received or given it out. Personal reasons.

Lately, I thought of doing a catch-up.

I left karma last night for the pro. This morning the pro contacted me saying that CC is going to use my karma to assume that she had another appointment with me and expect her to pay their fees. She proceeded to ask me to reimburse her for this assumed liability.

It does not make any sense to me - why would a karma (granted it is super late) be treated by CC as a proxy to a booking.

It is easy to jump the gun and assume I am being scammed but I don’t want to cause anyone financial repercussions, based on something I did.

I asked the pro to submit a proof of payment to CC and offered that I would approach CC for a reimbursement or cover, if they don’t.

This site is about positive energy and uplifting, and don’t want to inconvenience anyone.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

    Feel free to quote me to her if you wish. The site is not going to charge her over some karma, so don't feel pressured to pay her a dime for it. The session was a year ago, we're not going to reprimand her for when you decided to post karma about the session, whether it's 2 days or 2 years later.

    Yeah when you leave retro karma you can always just state it as such in the karma to avoid that confusion, but asking you to pay her for a pretend cuddle just to leave karma is silly

    If you wanted, you can always edit your karma comment to include that it was in 2023. 🤷‍♀️

    Wow, that person really deincentized people leaving karma for her, whether she believed what she was saying and was uninformed or if she was trying to scam you. 😳

    I think if the former she would have served both of you better by reaching out to a mod and asking. I've found the mods very helpful and responsive.
