Can you have a retaliatory karma removed?

I had a booking. Showed up at the address after driving 45 mins. It’s a hotel. I don’t know the room number or clients full name. I want to leave a bad karma but afraid of retaliatory one. If that happens, can cuddle comfort remove it? Cause I have never left a bad one for anyone but really want to this time.

  • Yes. False, misleading or defamatory Karma is routinely removed by the Moderators. They don't check automatically - it has to be Reported to them.

When writing difficult Karma, it is usually better to wait a day or till till emotions can be balanced by thoughtfulness. Stick to facts, rather than feelings or assumptions.

Karma must always be true, obviously. And also fair both to the parties involved and to a third party who might read and rely on that Karma. The world can be quite a harsh place, and we come to this site for solace, so try and be as kind as you can - it's nice to be nice.

Never rely on Karma on its own. Be thoughtful when reading it, and always click through and see what you think of the writer. Always be cautious, and especially so when reading Karma written by professionals when they were new - such people are usually anxious about false revenge Karma.

  • Sorry to read about your bad experience, @Tatsy

Some people are just very rude and extremely inconsiderate of other people's time. You do not deserve this.

  • Yes, I also very much hope this works out in your favor!

  • @Tatsy im confused—why do you want to leave a bad karma? Cuddling at hotels is pretty common, especially as many folks seek out cuddling when they’re traveling. Did you reach out to your client and ask for the room number?

  • To me, it sounded like Tatsy was ghosted by the client after she drove the 45 mins. to his hotel.

  • @CuddleDuncan he messaged hours later that he couldn’t log in. We just had a convo and I approved booking 1,5 hr before driving there. I told him he could pay me for the session in good faith and I’ll move on. He suggested to meet tomorrow but there’s no way I want to see this person. We were discussing a 4 pm session yesterday at 2 pm and he stopped responding after I mentioned I have my poodle with me and then got back to me hours later that he got pulled into work. I should have learnt my lesson that this person doesn’t respect anyone’s time.

  • @TxTom thank you dear

  • @Bella_Sera he never responded with the room number. I had to drive 45 min back home and driving in LA traffic is not fun let me tell you.
When people didn’t show up when I was hosting in Austin. I didn’t card much. But after I drive 45 mins and gas is expensive in LA and I only have two more days here to enjoy the beach or cuddle with others, it really pissed me off. He messages hours later that he couldn’t log in. But we just chatted 2 hrs before the session time. He ghosted me in the middle of the arranging a last minute session yesterday and later said he got pulled into work. This should have been a red flag for me. I suggested paying for the session and I won’t leave bead karma. He offered to meet tomorrow but I do not want to cuddle someone who treats people like that. I said no way Jose 🤷‍♀️

  • Did he know ahead of time that you would have a dog with you? Or was he told that at the 2pm marker for the 4pm cuddle?
He should still have told you that he can’t go with the cuddle but I think if that’s the first mention of a dog being present (small or not), that’s worthy of not feeling comfortable with a cuddle.

But I will mention too that hotels have wifi. There’s no reason he “couldn’t log in” and then also throwing in another excuse of “have to go to work”….

  • I'm sorry you got your time wasted.

I always Google addresses before driving (even for hotels) to get an idea of where I am going. If it looks like a hotel or apartment complex, etc, I confirm where I am going.

  • @Sheena123 hello dear. I think I have not been super clear about the situation.
So on Monday we were discussing a last minute cuddle going back and forth and I told him that I have my dog with me but I can leave him in the bathroom. He didn’t respond. Only got back to me hours later that he got pulled into work. Then I told him that tomorrow I can leave my dog with a friend. The next day at 11:30 got a proposal for session for 2 pm. I approved and I had his address from the day before and just started driving at 1:15. Get there and it’s a hotel. I messaged him that I was on my way at 1:15. He gets back to me hours later that he couldn’t log in and blames me for not leaving my phone number. But if he couldn’t log in after I approved the request that means he wouldn’t be able to get my number either. Today I no longer have a rental car and he offers to Uber me. I’m not spending another 1.5 hrs on travel for 2 hr cuddle. That would already be 5 hrs of my time. This experience taught me to take a deposit if I’m driving to see someone any distance actually. I told him to compensate me $75 for 1,5 hrs of travel and I will no longer be upset. I don’t want to threaten him but I did mention that I will report him and leave bad karma.

  • @LadyVel i put address in my navigation but it doesn’t tell me if it a hotel. Of course it was stupid of me not to check. I was just sure that he will be checking his messages

  • @Tatsy
Thank you for clarifying regarding the dog being with you the day before; that definitely sheds more light as I read through this thread.

Regarding the address, I know exactly what you mean about Google Maps not telling you what kind of place an address is... 🏡 🏨

Besides asking the client, what you could do is Google the address, and it should either pull up a house on a realty website like Zillow, or a hotel/motel business website.

Another trick is to enter the address into your Maps app, zoom in to see the outline of which building it is, hit the X on the address bar, and then tap on the building. It should pull up that location as a hotel with reviews, versus a home.

If it shows a hotel, I wouldn't get on the road until you have the room number. Also, I always give my destination to my safety contact, so they know exactly where I'll be, with whom, and for how long. ✅️

Regarding him paying for the session in exchange for not getting a bad Karma review, I would caution against this. I would understand giving him more stars if he compensated you in an effort to make up for your lost time, but it is very important that Karma be accurate and truthful. Even if he paid you, I would still hope that you would share that he was a spotty communicator who was essentially a no-show.

Because regardless of if he couldn't log in, why wasn't he in the lobby at the agreed time, looking for you? He saw your profile pictures. He could have also told the concierge that a woman would come looking for someone with his first name. So he really was a no-show, despite any issues he may claim about logging in. 🚩

Regarding a deposit, yes, that's an excellent way to deter this sort of thing, though the risk is some clients will not book Pro's who require deposits. So it's a matter of priorities for you, if you want to risk no-shows, or risk less bookings. Since I'm an enthusiast and not a Pro, I can't speak to which is better, but I hope you find a solution that works for you!

Lastly, I'd love to see a picture of your poodle. 😃

  • @SunsetSnuggles haha awww he is the cutest dog ever and have accompanied about 70% of my sessions.
So I did go ahead and left an honest karma for this client. He just like I expected left a retaliatory one which said “didn’t get to meet her due to technical issues. Tried to rectify by offering to pay for uber the next day but she refused” 🤦‍♀️🙄🤯 who leaves two star karma if one refused to cuddle? I have a right to refuse for any reason and in this case it was quite a justifiable one. I reported the karma and it was quickly removed within 15 mins. The admins here are fantastic. Last night I had someone I never met before leave a one star karma with false accusations that my profile is misleading and he put my real name in karma. I guess he googled my phone and my name came up. I had the same admin help me remove the karma quickly. I had a great experience since I joined and I have no idea what’s been happening recently but all is a great learning experience.
Lesson number one- check the address and if it’s a hotel
Lesson number two- take deposit for long travel (it’s okay if a client won’t do it- means they are not serious)
Lesson number three- not giving away my number. I got a new number on Hushed app which cannot be traced to my personal info.

  • @Tatsy
I'm so glad you have a different number to give out, now! I was going to suggest a free Google Voice number; that's what I use for all my cuddle buddies. 😊

And yes, the mods are great! 🔨

  • I just looked into this out of curiosity. I don’t think he ever planned on meeting you and was wasting your time. He was on the site when it was supposedly down setting up other sessions saying he’d be free for a session with someone else at the same time. Also he was sharing photos claiming to be him that were of different people. I speculate he was trying to collect personal info (like phone numbers) and is a scammer. He’s banned now. I assume another riveting game of whack-a-mole is in our future. I’m sorry you had to go through that. Sigh…

  • @CharlieBear

    Good work on this.

@Tatsy, I'm sorry that happened to you I know the feeling of being ghosted and I'm sure it sucks even more for it to happen after you've already taken the effort to drive to meet the client.

When I look up addresses I use the Street View feature on Google Maps. On a laptop or desktop it looks like a little yellow human stick figure at the bottom right, you click on it and drag it to the address location on the map and it'll show you what it would look like if you were standing there. I think it's helpful to familiarize yourself with an area that you're planning on visiting.

  • @LionsFan
    Thank you ☺️

  • @WolfeHugs I do the same thing and also try to see if parking is close when heading to bigger cities.

I was not at all surprised by Charlie's post, as there would seem to be no sane reason to forego a cuddle with you in that manner. I'm sorry you had your time wasted.
