That place has good memories too - camped around there quite a few times growing up, and it was always the go-to spot to restock hot dogs and all that π
I'd go for the giant bucket of pennies if they were all US 1958 or older. The numismatist in me would be thrilled. βΊοΈπ°
Oh geez...a word bigger than mayonnaise. I'll have to check the googler for that one.
@CharlieBear Kauai sounds wonderful! I havenβt seen a Safeway in DFW but we had them in KC.
Did someone mention they accept food stamps as payment?
I'm not the agency just curious?
Where that EBT card at? π
Safeway and Albertsons merged; both are still around, just a regional thing.
I was so amused when traveling the country and coming across grocery stores with names like Piggly Wiggly and Winn-Dixie. π
@g_w_t_w Regarding your photo; it was not me.

Happy summer vibes! π¬ πΉ
Since attention is currency these days, you think anyone would take followers as payment? I could get you 1,000 followers would that work? What about 50,000?
What kind of followers? If we're talking actual minions to do my bidding, it's a deal.
Kmart rainchecks are worth a pretty pretty penny on ebay!
Aww, Scrooge. I really really miss Kmart. I don't plan on being in Australia anytime soon, so I'll just keep missing it. I still have a lot of my Joe Boxer stuff that is falling apart, but I don't have the heart to throw it just yet. Sigh, the nostalgia of it all...
Lemon, bidding like an auction? I like auctions.
@Unscented_Lemon Bahaha, oh gawd, can I please have some minions to do my bidding?? π₯Ή I have so much cleaning to do today! π
@donhulio that's cool you used to come to Leadville as a kid π I grew up in Colorado Springs and my parents liked to take us there for drives and hikes as kids!
And there's still tons of Safeways here in CO....but would be willing to travel to Kauai to see one @CharlieBear πππΊ Hope you're having a great time!!
@CharlieBear LOL πππ
@RedFox16 yes, such a wonderful little town and beautiful surrounding area. I still visit on occasion, probably been there 3 or 4 times in the last ten years. So many great memories β€οΈ
@HarleyGirlKate oh man that reminds me of when I was a teenager digging through the barrel of wheat pennies at my local coin store. So many fun memories. I wish I had still kept up that hobby. But my collection has mainy remained in since I went to college π
