Ha yeah I’m trying to enjoy a vacation here, but considering how long I have been away from moderating, I think the other mods deserve a break from having to constantly check the forums.
I’m honestly surprised at how many of these forum topics don’t have anything to do with cuddling. Politics is definitely something that people should keep off of here.
I help moderate a discord server. Politics and religion are both banned topics for how divisive they are. It never ends well.
I think politics is a lot less volatile than most of the subjects that come up. But we've been desensitized and would prefer fighting about mundane things. It if we keep hiding from discourse we will never learn to find common ground.
@SeekerInVA many of them are off-topic, and while I’ve come to accept that, the ones that really piss me off are the really vapid, empty and meaningless posts meant JUST to get attention. The most egregious example I’ve seen is what is your favorite color?! Who gives a sh**.
And no I’m not a hater. But on this kinda thing, yeah…

Dropping F bombs and mixing Religion and Politics and looking for a fight.
I can appreciate your point but I definitely agree with the site on this one.
It could sadly affect who would cuddle with who. It should'nt be that way but that is how it is when people disagree on those topics.

Politics and religion are often brought up in here. But depends which religion and which political party is mentioned. If the right religion is portrayed negatively its allowed up almost always and if the right political party is smeared nothing is done mostly. Depending on who the moderator is. Charliebear I have to say is the most fair moderator. And he takes no sides.
When I am handling it, it doesn’t matter which religion or political party. It def doesn’t matter if I agree with the post or not. I just usually need to see a flag since I’m not usually reading everything on the forums looking for stuff to remove.

@panda619 It's a privately owned website. First Amendment protects one from the government censoring speech. Here, TOS is in effect and that prohibits political or religious discussion. There are plenty of other sites where those things can be discussed.
@panda619 The site is based in the UK and it’s privately owned, so no one can use the site to say whatever they want.
