    Thoughts?

  • @walsh33 and you have "kind and caring guy" as your bio. Smh

  • I am a straight guy who opens his arms to ANYONE regardless of race, gender, age on down the line. I don't have ANY issues cuddling with a make. I have done so in the past. I enjoy getting to know ALL people from ALL corners of life. This is a great thread.

Nope. Not dealing with this toxicity. See ya in a couple weeks. [netrunner]

@phenomenon80 there was a tv show a number of years ago that did a whole satirical story on whether BJJ was “gay”. It was very tongue in cheek and quite funny for those of us (of all identities) who train in it.

  • @Melancholy

Now having said all that. Cuddling with another man is not something I would ever do. I don't find men to be safe. I don't like men in general. Yes that probably sounds self hating but what can I say. It's how I feel and that's not something I can explain or change on a whim.

I completely understand this. I'm actually a lot more likely to cuddle a man now than when I still identified as male. I didn't like men. I didn't trust men. And I knew that above all else, society's rules meant that showing affection to another man was wrong. I did try to work past it a bit and could hug some men, but still things like cuddling and showing too much emotion were bad.

Now, while I still have a distrust of men, I could cuddle someone if he seemed like a good person. And when my coworker hugs me, it's wonderful feeling his arms around me. Though some of that could be because I find him attractive.

I feel like I managed to get rid of some internalized homophobia (in this case, the fear of being gay).

  • Listening to the greatest band on the planet and ran into this one. No matter what the discussion is about there's always have a song that fits. play / watch at your own risk.

This thread: too much flagging and reviewing and reporting and moderator interference (threats to delete) just because Walsh33 has expressed an apparently unpopular point of view. Let people have their opinions and stop trying to bully and silence those you disagree with.

  • I'm amused that BrionC decided to block me. We' ve had no communication

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@BJC As far as "moderator interference" goes, this is a privately owned website, so they can "interfere" as much as they want. Yes, people have a right to state their opinions, but like any action, that can have consequences.

  • @BJC

This is a privately owned site. The owner with the assistance of the mods can allow or disallow whatever he wants. Anyone can be silenced at any time.

After I saw your comment, I was curious so I clicked on his profile and I’m blocked as well. I’ve never said a word to him. I don’t even remember anything he’s ever posted.

me 3 , maybe he didn't like the video I posted?

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

I've seen his posts before, but no, not that memorable.

  • I think I remember him, but I could be confusing him with someone else with a similar name. Especially since I'm not blocked. I suppose it depends on what the "nonsense" is.

  • @Morpheus Wanna bet it's a new account?

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@IronLemon He edited his post. Originally it was about "woke" people forcing a gender agenda on others.

  • @WriterGF Oh, in that case, I am remembering correctly.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@LionsFan Says he joined last November.

  • @WriterGF Apparently doing a slow boil for months. LOL.

@BrionC Blocking does not work re forum posts back and forth. Good try though. Love to hear the intention and motivation.

  • @writerGF and @Morpheus, I understand your point, that the site is privately owned, but I still see in this thread heavy-handed and unnecessary moderator intervention.

  • Me! Judgement free! Check my profile out!!

  • @BJC Of the four comments that show as flagged, 3 were left alone, and 1 was spoilered. Where is this heavy-handed moderation you're talking about?

  • This is fascinating!! While we females discuss ‘bear vs male in the woods’’, y’all are discussing something totally different. Well, not TOTALLY different, given how often gay-bashing occurs, but it sounds like ‘straight women hugging women’ is a much less divisive topic. Hallelujah!! Never believed I’d hear about ANYTHING that’s less stressful/easier for women than for men. You have my sympathy and my best wishes and hopes that one or two viewpoints might have broadened at least a tiny bit as a result of this thread. You go, guys!!! 👍

  • And PLEEZ do not message me. I’m old, overweight and this is just a ‘Bravo!!’, NOT a request.

  • Does anyone know what ☝️👆 just said. Can you please translate?

  • chat gpt, please explain the following statement "And PLEEZ do not message me. I’m old, overweight and this is just a ‘Bravo!!’, NOT a request."

    ChatGPT
The statement "And PLEEZ do not message me. I’m old, overweight and this is just a ‘Bravo!!’, NOT a request." can be broken down as follows:

"And PLEEZ do not message me." - The speaker is emphatically requesting that they not be contacted or sent messages. The use of "PLEEZ" (a playful spelling of "please") adds emphasis and a slightly informal tone.

"I’m old, overweight" - The speaker is providing a self-description, likely as a way to further discourage any follow-up contact. They may be suggesting that they do not fit a certain image or expectation that might prompt someone to message them.

"and this is just a ‘Bravo!!’, NOT a request." - The speaker is clarifying that their message is simply a compliment or expression of praise ("Bravo!!"), and not a solicitation for further interaction or engagement. They want to make it clear that their intention is to commend rather than to initiate any further conversation or action.

Overall, the speaker is praising someone or something ("Bravo!!") while making it very clear that they do not wish to be contacted or engaged in further discussion.
